Be Warned this place has separate menu 4 tourists w higher prices and simpler dishes than the locals menu. They gave me local menu was surprised when I ordered the dishes that I did which were excellent btw. Locals seated in back of restaurant w tourists in the front.

Recommended by our Airbnb host, this spot was a nice find. We reserved a couple of days ahead, and it quickly filled up—clearly a local favorite. We started with prosciutto and melon, and a zucchini frittata, followed by chittaroni with garlic, oil, and chili, & pennette chiantigiana style. For the main, we had a single steak in rib with a side salad. The appetizers and steak were the standouts. Overall, a good choice for a casual meal.

Great local place with interesting menu.

Amazing food, great environment. The reservation/seating process is a bit chaotic, but this was our favorite dinner of the trip to Florence.

Excellent service, very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Very good typical food and a varied menu.

Overall opinion: A good address in Florence for a taste of traditional Tuscan dishes. It’s well served and good value for money, I would recommend it ! I tried the RIBOLLITA there for the first time and it’s something I’ld like to try again!

The pasta with wild boar ragu and the bowl were excellent, as was the mozzarella salad. The tiramisu was a great ending. Excellent service, well-prepared dishes, and although the portions weren't large, they were just right. Highly recommended for a relaxing dinner with local flavor.

Oggi, domenica 29 marzo 2025, mia moglie, i nostri due figli (di 12 e 13 anni) ed io abbiamo pranzato alla Trattoria 13 Gobbi, situata nel cuore di Firenze, non lontano da Santa Maria Novella. È la seconda, forse terza volta che ci torniamo, e ormai è diventato un appuntamento fisso ogni volta che siamo in città. Il locale è una tipica trattoria fiorentina, con un ambiente accogliente e arredato in stile tradizionale. Abbiamo iniziato con la loro celebre pasta al pomodoro e mozzarella, servita in caratteristici tegamini, un piatto semplice ma dal sapore straordinario. Abbiamo poi assaggiato l’uovo al tegamino con tartufo, davvero delizioso, e concluso con una cheesecake che ricordava la cassata al forno siciliana, una piacevole sorpresa. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale cordiale e attento. I prezzi sono giusti, considerando la qualità del cibo e l’esperienza complessiva. Unica “pecca”, ma comune a tutta Firenze, è il pane senza sale. Comprendiamo la tradizione dietro questa scelta, ma per noi napoletani abituati al pane “cafone”, è un dettaglio che ci fa sempre sorridere

Our hotel found this place for us and we are so glad they did. Glad we had a reservation even though it was early. At first we were concerned because they took us down a few steps then back up to a small dining room upstairs. It actually was perfect for us- small and much quieter than down stairs. We came for the Florentine steak and was not disappointed. I was a bit concerned because I usually eat steak med-medium rare but it was lovely. I should mention that I essentially ate the filet and my husband ate the rest of the strip steak portion. I'm not sure I'd eat it this rare anywhere but in Florence but if I ever return I will eat it again (and probably here!). The steak was very simple but perfectly and simply seasoned. It was served with roasted potatoes which I didn't expect to eat but they were quite good. We shared a salad before and enjoyed the bread and then finished with a tiramisu. The waiter helped us select an enjoyable red tuscan wine. The good food was made even better by the sweet waiter. He was an older man who took care of the entire room (probably 7 tables??). He was very busy but took good care of us and was charming. Do go and take your time and enjoy your evening!
