Amazing experience from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful—we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after the entire evening. The pacing of the courses was flawless and everything arrived at just the right moment. The wild boar and rigatoni were outstanding—deeply flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced. We finished with the cheesecake and tiramisu, which were some of the best I’ve ever had: incredibly light, airy, and delicately sweet. I would come back for the desserts alone. Highly recommend!

We dined here on a recommendation from an Aussi bar tender..... Whenever we hear of anyone visiting Florence this place is a priority. We're returning to Florence 18/19th July, so I'm hoping we can get a table and relive a treasured experience

Delicious food, excellent wine and very nice atmosphere.

Today was my third or fourth time eating here. It's one of my favourite restaurants in town. Trust the waiters' recommendations, enjoy the house wine and their delicious menu. I usually have the steak as it's excellent, with potatoes, spinach, and the house chianti.

Food was outstanding as always, waiters are awesome, but maitre/host at the front door, not very friendly at all. We had a reservation, and we arrived early - I know, totally our fault - but I apologized and asked if maybe they could anticipate our table. We would give another walk if there was no possibility, but I felt we should give it a try. It worked, but the gentleman was not happy at all. Later on, we saw he being rude to different customers, so maybe is his normal way. It is not the first time we go to Gobbi, I love the food and the price is fair. They really should be more careful with they way they treat customers. Regarding waiters, nothing to tell! all spoke English, were very kind, but they only accept tip in cash - that is a problem nowadays that everything is mostly paid by credit card. Hope they can adjust that, because the food is really amazing!

Good food, but I was a bit disappointed with the meat. Friendly service. The atmosphere is typical, but a bit dark. Definitely worth a try, especially if you're not far from the station.

Food is great, no doubt. But if you don’t speak a lick of Italian, well you’re not their target customer. I get it, they hate tourists, want to keep it local etc. They aren’t rude, just indifferent and if you’re ok with that, it’s just an authentic vibe. Reviews from non Italians pretty accurate. Service aside food is great

It was my first time at this typical Florentine restaurant. It was a lovely experience. The food was good and traditional, including the tagliata...really good!!! The appetizers were good and plentiful; the lardo was a must-try. The first courses were very good, especially the pasta...perfectly cooked. The desserts were beautiful (there was a birthday cake) and delicious...don't miss the cantucci...delicious and homemade. The service was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere was charming...you'd feel like you're entering a typical Florentine tavern, an osteria. A great place to visit.

A high-class trattoria in the center of Florence, just a few minutes' walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Plenty of seating, but reservations are highly recommended on weekends; it's always busy, which explains the rating and quality.
