I hate leaving mediocre reviews but we were really looking forward to visiting based on multiple recommendations. • We booked in advance and when we arrived the restaurant was not overly busy, we were asked to wait by the bar when a couple who walked in after us got seated straight away. We were instructed to ‘follow him’ but there was 4 people stood around the bar so that was slightly confusing. • We ordered wine which came quickly, our waiter asked me to try first but walked off before checking the wine was all good. • I ordered the wild boar pappardelle and it was fantastic. However, my partner’s meal wasn’t the best, he ordered the clam spaghetti. The clams were bitter and the spaghetti was undercooked which for €18 you would expect better quality food. •The atmosphere was really, really flat, no music, the couple next to us also didn’t seem to be impressed with the service either. We waited 35 minutes before having our plates taken away. I’ve heard fantastic things about this place so perhaps we just caught them at a bad time, for the price you can get much more for your money!

Our (last moment) reservation was not on the paper list of the person at the door. We understood why since it was booked last minute and we told him that we had received a confirmation by email, but this didn’t interest him. We were not on the list, so no table for us. We showed him the mail but it was till the moment that a colleague of him told that it was fine that he told that there was a table. After this unwelcome start the dinner was nice, food of our kids came very quick as requested, and everything was very tasty. Prices maybe a little high for what you get.

The bistecca alla fiorentina was absolutely delicious, the best we’ve had. The service was impeccable. We were all blown away - my friend was practically moaning with delight right next to me! She even joked that she wanted to bring the whole cow back in her luggage. It set the bar so high that every steak we've tried since has been a letdown. The bruschetta was just as tasty. And the cheesecake - unforgettable. We’ve been measuring every other one against it ever since. We recommend making a reservation.

An Italian friend took us here: the food is really good, most of the customers are local, and it's very authentic Tuscan cuisine. Recommended!
