After a trip to Valdobbiadene to explore new wineries, we stopped at this trattoria for lunch. The first course, pasta with radicchio, pumpkin, and smoked ricotta, was truly excellent. For the second course, we had roast pork loin and scallops with prosecco, both excellent. The side dish was oven-baked cauliflower gratin, very good.

Greeted by the friendly staff, we ate delicious traditional dishes in a family-friendly atmosphere (cold cuts and cheeses, Treviso radicchio pie, pappardelle with venison ragù, Vicenza-style cod with white polenta, tripe, pear and chocolate cake), all at prices that are hard to find these days (average price 20-25 euros per person). Highly recommended, but booking well in advance is essential because it's always, rightly, packed. There are usually two lunch sittings: 12-1:30 PM and 1:30-3:00 PM.

I wanted to give more stars, but the cod Vicenza style made the points collapse... very poor with many bones, every bite was a gamble

13/01/2026: An absolutely fantastic experience! Antica Osteria Il Borgo impresses with authentic Italian cuisine that's rarely found elsewhere. Many of the dishes are meat-heavy and are prepared right in front of the guests on a charcoal grill – a real highlight that not only smells amazing but tastes just as good. The extensive and high-quality wine selection is also a real plus, perfectly complementing every dish. The ambiance is cozy, the service friendly and attentive – you simply feel at ease here. All in all, a super cool restaurant that I will definitely return to. Highly recommended! 🍷🔥🇮🇹
