Trattoria Dalla Marisa In Venezia

Thank you for existing, Trattoria da' Marisa. A game-based evening, one of those rare evenings (as I was told when I booked) when they don't serve fish here. And oh my! We were even lucky: the place is small, intimate, and we managed to get the last two seats, squeezed in between a rugby team. The atmosphere is that of a true old-fashioned trattoria: walls yellowed by time, faded paintings, paper placemats. Oh my, how lovely! If only there were more like this in Venice. Because here there's no gloss or frills, just true 5-star quality and deliciousness. And then the dining room: spectacular, friendly, authentic people. Fixed-price menu €50: appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, side dishes, dessert, water, wine, coffee, and an after-dinner drink, with the option of a second for those who can. Yes, wow: it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

For two, we had a full dinner menu and an appetizer menu. Appetizers (creamed cod, sardines in saor, sea bass ceviche, stewed baby octopus, stuffed mussels, polenta), a first course (seafood lasagna), a second course (abundant mixed fried fish), dessert (mascarpone with Marsala wine and biscuits), wine, and water. Total cost: €77.00.

Yesterday, November 22, 2025, I dined at Marisa's, along with my friend Paolo. The restaurant is small but cozy, and the welcome from Wanda and Monica was exquisite. I immediately felt like part of the family. Colorful Venetian expressions greeted me, music to my ears. The dishes they presented were top-notch: starting with the traditional castradina, a dish cooked for the feast of the Madonna della Salute, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken liver risotto and stewed baby octopus with soft yellow polenta, incredibly tender and delicious. Mouth-watering. What can I say? Thank you, Wanda and Monica. Keep up the good work because Venetian tradition must be kept alive. Thanks again. Danilo.

A very quaint trattoria. The food is good and very affordable. The only downside is the limited space. Book well in advance.

Very simple, with lunch only for locals. Honest!

Everything was really good. The dinner was simple and welcoming. Perhaps because the place is small, it can be a bit noisy with so many people, but it's still welcoming.

We were there several years ago and were disappointed when we returned. Not so much for the food; the appetizers were good, which is why I gave it three stars. The rest was ordinary, especially the seafood lasagna, which I thought was reheated. The worst was the service, which failed to provide information about the menu and other items. In short, I don't think we'll be back.

A unique place in Venice! Book and try it!

We had lunch around 12:00, and even though we hadn't booked, they kindly let us sit outside in a semi-covered area equipped with everything we needed. There's a set menu, but you can also choose just a first course or a second course with a side dish. The first courses we ordered were very good. It's a bit out of the way compared to the other restaurants, but perfect for enjoying the view of the canals. We'll definitely be back.
