An experience not to be missed. I, as a tourist, asked the kind Vincenzo (who surprisingly cooks and manages the whole restaurant himself - and does it very well) to let me try something typical of Basilicata. He brought me various dishes, all truly excellent, and at a more than honest price. The environment is nice and welcoming, it has a familiar feel, taking you back home. I couldn't recommend it enough. Greetings from Brazil!

I went last night for the first time. I will definitely return as soon as possible. The kind and hospitable owner will make you feel at home straight away. Nothing to say about the TOP cuisine. If you want REAL typical cuisine this is the right place.

We visited Potenza on a very slow, quiet day during the afternoon when almost everything was closed. We happened upon Vincenzo’s restaurant and had a lovely experience. We speak zero Italian, but Vincenzo - who does not speak any English - was welcoming and enthusiastic. He does not have a menu, but a few specific dishes to choose from. We took a stab at ordering verbally and were surprised by what we received, but pleasantly so. The food was great and we were happy we took the leap.

Finally a restaurant where they don't have freezer compartments from which they unpack bags and cartons of semi-finished products to prepare. Here there is simple cuisine but with authentic flavours. By now we have become accustomed to eating only frozen food that they pass off as fresh. Vincenzo doesn't have a menu written on paper but he is the menu, because he cooks what he finds to buy that same morning. The tomato sauce like the one we prepare at home, rather than opening tin cans and tasting it... I have to say thanks to Vincenzo for the way he hosted us and cooked us, because it felt like we were eating at my grandparents' or my mother's... Today it has become It's difficult to find simple and genuine people, everything is like this here, both the dishes and the owners... The bill was honest and it seemed so little that we even left a €10 tip 🤗

Una vecchia cantina, un po' difficile da trovare. Sicuramente un posto caratteristico che merita una visita se non si hanno troppe pretese e si vuole scoprire una cucina semplice ma genuina e d'altri tempi. Materie prime di ottima qualità, migliori di tanti posti più rinomati. Peccato solo che Vincenzo si perde a volte in un bicchiere d'acqua. Ci ha dato una bottiglia di acqua frizzante palesemente già aperta magari mischiata da bottiglie avanzate...per 40 centesimi hai fatto una magra figura ma il posto comunque lo consiglio lo stesso per chi non è schizzinoso perché si mangia abbastanza bene e i prezzi sono buoni. Menù molto semplice.

29/01/2025: Location normale per la zona, senza particolare cura ma neanche trasandato. Ma parliamo dei piatti: taglieri abbondanti e di ottima qualità, diverse zuppe (forse precotte?) di legumi combinate con funghi o patate che ben legano col clima invernale, e poi, i peperoni cruschi straordinari per sapore e consistenza. Inoltre panini imbottiti ripieni di ogni grazia. Cura del cliente…

16/02/2025: Fantastic experience today for lunch, my friends and I were satisfied. Antonio the owner pampered us, the waitress was kind and helpful. TOP cuisine! I recommend the fried egg on chickpea cream and the sliced ​​podolica. We will definitely be back!
05/01/2025: I am only writing this review now after a very pleasant birthday dinner but over the years I have had the opportunity time and time again to appreciate the cuisine and professionalism of Antonio and all his staff. The quality of the products goes hand in hand with the comfortable and familiar environment, the attention to detail that is put into every course without abandoning the Lucanian tradition. I would like to make a special mention about the pizza, which as far as I'm concerned is one of a kind. It is not Neapolitan, Caserta, with a high or low cornice. It is a Lucanian pizza, with its unique characteristics, and I invite everyone to try it both as a main course and as an accompaniment to home-produced cured meats and cheeses. I could go on for a long time with all the dishes it offers but you just have to try it and come back many many many times. Vote ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
