You walk in and it feels like you're entering a 30-year-old trattoria. You immediately notice the vegetables on the table with dips, all ready.
The classic Romagna appetizers arrive shortly afterward, without having ordered them (it's like that for everyone, you know).
Shortly afterward, Roberto, a very particular older gentleman, arrives. He lists the menu and then you choose. The menu is listed, you choose, and off you go.
Special mention goes to the dessert trolleys (there are about 3/4 of them), which are very good and varied.
The place is a trattoria, and after a while they play classical Romagna music at a high volume, which, however, is appreciated in such a setting, and you can still converse at the table.

A true gem in Massa Lombarda that never disappoints!

I went for dinner with a couple of friends. Not knowing how it worked, we were overwhelmed by this menu, which we discovered little by little. The dishes were circulated on the trolleys and offered to you as many times as you wanted. By the end of the appetizers, we were already full from the amount of food we received.
We ordered cappelletti with ragù, but instead we got tortellini. We didn't say anything because they were delicious. For the main course, the cutlet Bolognese and shoulder of angel food, all delicious.
For dessert, four trolleys arrived, overflowing with things, and you could order as much as you wanted without paying per dish.
It's been a long time since I've eaten so well; everything was high-quality, fresh, and homemade.
The only downside is that since there's no set menu, you don't know how much you're spending.

The food was good, but the prices were very high! They didn't have a menu. We spent €200 for 5 people on an appetizer that they brought right away without asking us anything (piadina, salami, mortadella, and dipped vegetables), a trio of pasta dishes suggested by the owner, 3 waters, 2 bottles of wine, a dessert, and 3 coffees... €40 per person!!

Trattoria da Roberto is a Romagna icon. The location is charming, surrounded by the typical greenery of a small forest. The owners are very welcoming and the staff is efficient. Here you can enjoy Romagna cuisine, including excellent stuffed pasta dishes. The desserts are a highlight at the end of the meal, offering a wide selection. In the summer, you can enjoy dinner or lunch on the beautiful outdoor veranda.

Dinner with friends, it was a fantastic evening. Beautiful place, very friendly service, one-of-a-kind owner. In my opinion, you need to go on a diet for a day; the dishes were excellent, from the dips to the amaro. Everyone was great. Even though it's 40 km from home, we'll be back. Highly recommended.

The place is small and packed, very noisy, it was hard to talk, the music was loud. Overall, we ate well. The appetizers they bring you as soon as you arrive are very good and plentiful. Then I had the tagliatelle with meat sauce, which I wasn't entirely satisfied with. The tagliatelle were thin, I like thick ones, and in my opinion, they weren't homemade, which I expect from a place like this. The meat sauce was a bit too thin.
The dessert trolley was fabulous, with everything and very good, the service was fast and impeccable.
I definitely want to go back to try other dishes.
