But if you're looking for soul, flavor, and a human warmth that seems extinct, this trattoria is the place for you. It's an authentic trattoria unlike any other. In an age of standardized restaurants and identical tourist menus, here you can breathe in the history and passion of those who work with heart. The real secret of this place, however, is Luciano and Noemi. Luciano is the perfect host: his welcome makes you immediately feel part of the family. He has that old-fashioned kindness and a dedication that immediately puts guests at ease, a force of nature that transforms excellent raw materials into dishes that taste of home, tradition, and love. Noemi is welcoming and incredibly friendly. It's rare to leave a restaurant feeling not only satisfied, but enriched as a person. Every bite is a return to the origins. Thanks to Luciano and Noemi for so carefully protecting this culinary rarity. We'll return again and again, because places like this deserve to be treasured. ​Highly recommended!

Absolutely worth a try! I don't usually write reviews, but having discovered this intimate, family-friendly, and above all truly homely little place, I can't help but go at least three or four times a year, taking a 3.5-hour drive, even with a friend who comes especially from Cosenza. But it's worth it. It's worth it for the kindness and cheerfulness of Luciano, the owner, which is unique; it's worth it for the small place, for a select few gourmets; it's worth it for the typical peasant and Maremma cuisine with zero-mile products, including the Morellino wine from Scansano. And then, for what you'd pay in Rome or Livorno, you'd get a frozen pizza! So if you want waiters wearing gloves, crystal glasses, and soft music, stay away—very far away, because the menu there is fixed and very extensive: wine ad libitum; appetizer; three Maremma first courses; Two main courses, a side dish, dessert, and coffee!
