In the top 3 of the year without a doubt.
Lunch for work, where we didn't hold back: for three, appetizers included culatello, coppa, and torta fritta, pisarei, prete, nodo, and tagliata, desserts made with Vigoleno Barbera and Bargnolino, 47 euros each.
I'll say right away that, given the quantity of food, I didn't have any digestive problems, and that happens when the quality of the food is excellent. Pisarei was perfect: all the other dishes I've eaten so far didn't even make up for this dry, tasty, and harmonious dish of green beans, pasta, and sauce. A sparkling Gutturnio, excellent, and a wonderful Bargnolino. Culinary Piacenza lives here. Nothing else is needed.

Yesterday, returning from visiting Vigoleno Castle, we had lunch at this trattoria. We had made a reservation, and when we arrived, the restaurant was full, with only our table available. We were warmly welcomed and tried several dishes, which turned out to be delicious, with a normal wait time between courses. Ask for advice on the daily specials and desserts. We'll definitely be back.

On a rainy Sunday with friends, we sat on the enclosed, well-heated veranda with "mushrooms."
A starter of torta fritta and cured meats. We specifically asked for prosciutto, strolghino, and cicciolata—all delicious! Followed by, as usual, the king of first courses, the truffle risotto, which, as always, is unforgettable. House wine, a dessert, coffee, fair prices, a family atmosphere, and super-friendly wait staff. We'll be back, as always.

Exploring the Piacenza hills. A beautiful place, comfortably seated on the well-heated outdoor veranda, we ordered a mixed antipasto with cotechino, fried sausage (!), beans and pork rind, mixed boiled vegetables, and torta fritta. Then came rice and cabbage, pisarei (gnocchi) and beans. Everything was excellent, plentiful, and wonderful. The highest quality products were perfectly prepared. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Very friendly staff. We'll be back.
