A highly anticipated meal due to being recommended, what I will say is the food was great. My wife said the ravioli all’amatriciana was the best pasta dish we had on the trip. I had the rigatoni alla carbonara, and it was amazing.
Unfortunately sitting inside was so uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of air conditioning (which they have , but don’t have on) it made the meal very unenjoyable, so much so we couldn’t even finish and both wanted to leave. I couldn’t tell you if the desert was any good because we couldn’t stay around to try it.
The service was also the most unfriendly we experienced in all the places we went to both inside and outside of Rome. Great food but left with real mixed feelings.

Good food, service a little improvised with delays and some errors in ordering, perhaps we had an unlucky day

As often described, excellent typical Roman trattoria for years included in the Sllow Food Guide Osteria d'Italia, up to expectations

Lovely, authentic cuisine. Restaurants was filled with locals. I was the only tourist there when I visited and the place was pretty busy. Staff were friendly

In addition to a welcoming and extremely helpful staff, the food makes this experience truly unique!!!
The Roman tradition is best expressed and also revisited thanks to a complete and well-researched menu. A place I will really happily return to.

There are no words to express how good is this place. Cesare al Casaletto is a landmark as well as an authority when it comes to the typical Roman cuisine. The "coratella", to die for.
The "cacio e pepe", same.
"Any dish on the menu", perfect.
Please try it. It's worth.

This place is worth the journey out of the city center. The food and ambience is excellent. Make a reservation ahead
Fried gnocchi with cacio e Pepe sauce - okay, slightly saltier than we like
Polpette (meatballs) - slightly drier we like
Suppli - excellent, well fried and filling is tasty
Carbonara - excellent, pasta is perfectly cooked, slightly salty
Oxtail - excellent, tender, fall off the bone and the sauce is great, get this
Organic white wine - really lovely, get this
Table bread slightly stale
Unfortunate that seafood mains were unavailable during our visit (their fridge was spoilt) hope to come back one day to try

Fantastic neighbourhood spot. A place this good was never going to stay a secret for long, so you'll likely be eating alongside fellow discerning tourists. But holy cow - one bite of the carbonara and the American accents will fade into a pleasing background blur of delicious aromas and lively chatter. The lengthy pauses between visits from our waiter just gave us more time to admire the ambience and reflect on how fricking good the grub is. 100/100.
