A very good trattoria in a residential area of ​​Rome. If you want to escape the noisy atmosphere of central Rome and enjoy some typical Roman dishes, this is the place to be. The atmosphere, though not particularly elegant, is welcoming and classic. The food is absolutely the highlight. I had the zucchini flowers with anchovies and mozzarella—good, nothing special. Next, I had the oxtail stew. Wow, what a dish! Delicious! The tomato sauce was delicious, and the oxtail was perfectly cooked. Excellent service. Perfect price.

Fast service with courteous and professional waiters. We dined on a weekday and there were many people. Very popular with Romans. Appetizer, first course, dessert, and coffee. Fair price.

The veal stew was mediocre and expensive; it hadn't even evaporated properly; you could still taste the alcohol from the wine. The fried lamb chops with lettuce underneath and the crick crock on top as a garnish still haven't figured it out; maybe the chef is five years old. I don't recommend it.

Sunday lunch, crowded as expected but in a genuine and convivial atmosphere. We were on the very well-heated veranda. Excellent service from three young men, well-prepared for every request. Excellently prepared Roman dishes, we tried: boiled meatballs, rigatoni with involtini sauce, cacio e pepe, fettuccine with oxtail sauce, tripe, and broccoli and arzilla soup. Total disappointment with the puntarelle sauce: too thick in the mouth for a thick and overly salty anchovy cream, lacking garlic, vinegar, and oil. The desserts were a sore point: delicious and very fresh in their preparation, but truly poorly put together. The sore cherry tart was a tiny 4 x 4 cm square that didn't justify the price of a dessert, and the millefeuille, although with an exceptional cream, was lacking in flavor: three berries in one and four chocolate chips in the other. Overall, a pleasant experience. Parking is difficult.

Authentic Roman cuisine. Excellent food, equally excellent service. The only drawback is the parking.

Very good, little old-fashioned gem

We booked for Sunday lunch and came hungry so we could try two courses! The restaurant has a neighborhood vibe and was packed with locals enjoying the food. My meal was great - fried gnocchi with cheese and pepper was a great start, crisp and crunchy Ina cheesy sauce. Then rigatoni pasta with an fresh tomato Amatriciana sauce, again perfect pasta, perfect sauce. Then my veal steak - seared to perfection, juicy, lemony, soft, meaty and a perfect end to the meal. I wish I'd had more room for dessert as the ones I saw looked beautiful! Recommended for a real family restaurant experience with great food.

A historic restaurant, right down to the sign. Menu: Roman classics prepared with various types of pasta (fettuccine, gnocchi, rigatoni, tonnarelli) plus a few rare treats like broccoli & arzilla soup. Matriciana, carbonara, gricia with truly crispy guanciale (pork cheek), delicious but the flavor of the involtino sauce could be enhanced; the boiled beef "alla picchiapò" (stuffed with tomatoes) is incredibly tender; the menu even still includes fruit salad with seasonal fruit, a rare commodity in restaurants these days. Ambience: Convivial but noisy; some tables, including ours near the cash register, are a bit too "passing." The very classic interior is better than the more improvised exterior. Service: Just the right amount of speed and not intrusive. Bill: Absolutely reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Notes: Parking was somewhat problematic, despite it being a holiday.

Il posto è molto conosciuto anche da turisti. Questo ristorante vicino allo stazionamento dei tram, offre tavoli al chiuso e all'aperto. Il menù è vario e il cibo è buono. Il personale è professionale e disponibile. I prezzi sono nella media.

La mia guida delle osterie slow food del 2022 lo segnalava con la Chiocciola, massima attestazione di valore. Entrando ho visto che anche quest’anno sono all’interno della guida (ma non so se hanno la chiocciola). A prescindere, arriviamo con alta aspettativa. Che dire, più che sufficiente ma niente di più. Di ottimo abbiamo gustato la schiacciata (fatta con l’impasto della pizza), notevole. Polpette di bollito senza infamia ne lode: diciamo che il gusto c’era ma andavano masticate con impegno, per capirsi. Male male il fiore fritto con alice e mozzarella: la quantità di pastella era davvero eccessiva, copriva quasi tutto il sapore. Baccalà alla romana che non posso certo definire cattivo, al contempo gli ingredienti erano tra loro slegati. Agnello allo scottadito così così, in molti punti richiedeva una masticazione eccessiva. Insomma, non ritornerei. Col massimo rispetto per la proprietà e il personale, s’intende.
