Once again, the Slow Food Osterie d’Italia guide was prophetic 😄. After booking online, we showed up almost half an hour early but were still welcomed with great kindness and attention. Even the ordering was a bit messy 😅. Appetizers and side dishes, then first courses, side dishes and more appetizers. Bruschetta with burrata and anchovies and with confit cherry tomatoes and a mixed salad. To follow: memorable fried gnocchi with cacio e pepe sauce, aubergine croquettes, fettuccine with involtini sauce and carbonara. 2 salads and 2 grilled vegetables as side dishes: fresh and quality. 1/2 liter of loose Trebbiano, 3 liters of water and 3 coffees. €124

We went to Cesare to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. The restaurant, needless to say, is located right in Casaletto, near the tram terminal. Rustic, lively and convivial atmosphere, but with interesting details, which recall Roman vernacularity. I recommend the appetizers, in particular the fried gnocchi in cream of cacio e pepe and the boiled meatballs, they are exceptional. Let's move on to the first courses: both the traditional Roman first courses and the fish-based ones are highly recommended. A special mention for the tonnarelli alla gricia, and for the rigatoni alla coda. The wine list does not disappoint either; you can't go wrong with both the sparkling whites and the passito wines The service is no exception: friendly, precise, attentive to every customer need, punctual but never intrusive. In particular, Alejandra was very kind in paying attention to my grandmother, who is over ninety years old. I recommend this place for both a birthday/graduation dinner and a more casual occasion. Definitely try it!

It was my first time going to this restaurant and I have to say that the first courses were exceptional. We didn't try the second courses but the menu followed the Roman tradition. I will definitely return

Perhaps a deliberately dated place with an internal room and an external pergola, particularly appreciated in the summer season. Traditional Roman food, well plated and served by friendly and attentive waiters. Prices in line with the area, parking is difficult to find, especially since the restaurant is located on a main road where it is not possible to stop. I recommend it, to go there at least once and try the first courses, particularly tasty and appreciable.

Excellent food, choice of natural wines (for connoisseurs), price around €50 per person. Recommended

Soo good, we came for dinner on a recommendation and it was delicious! Book one week in advance via their website. Everything was so good; we had fresh homemade mozzarella, fried meatballs with pesto, carbonara and oxtail sauce pasta, and tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert! Highly recommend :)

We are regular customers, Da Cesare is a certainty. Simple but refined cuisine, quality. Courteous service, nice wine list, perhaps with some markups a little high. The prices of the dishes are fair. Usually Da Cesare we eat a bit of fish, we always find it well done, very fresh, really excellent. The last time the mussels sauté was amazing. Tagliolini with seafood really good. The fried food is always crispy, not very greasy, perfect. Also the lemon sorbet is very good. In short, really a place to return regularly to eat well.

Todo lo que se dice sobre esta es una de las mejores trattorias de Roma es verdad. Fuimos un domingo por la noche a las 7: 45 , y solo había unas pocas personas allí. Cuando nos fuimos, todas las mesas estaban llenas. Usted necesita absolutamente reservas aquí. Tomé una deliciosa pasta carbonara. Mi esposa tomó una de las pastas especiales esa noche, con guisantes, espárragos, judías, etc. Compartimos una pizza. Pero tantos comensales tenían tantos platos que se veían espectaculares. Este lugar no es de lujo, y está a unos 20 minutos en coche de la Via Veneto, si su hotel está allí. Estamos muy contentos de haber ido.

Se potessi darei 10 stelle per tutto. Dall’accoglienza, ai piatti, tutti buonissimi. La vera tradizione romana è da Cesare. Stra consiglio di mangiare in questa trattoria e di prenotare con largo anticipo dato che è molto frequentata. A+++
