Rigatoni with oxtail sauce was soo soo good

We had dinner with some colleagues and I think it is an excellent option to taste real Roman cuisine.

The food, especially the Carbonara, was delicious, but the service was too slow and didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation. I recommend hiring more waiters for the weekend. Otherwise, everything was fine. Very reasonable prices.

Excellent food, but they made two mistakes in the bill (an extra cover charge and an extra wine). I called the next day, but they never called me back or refunded me for the mistake. I don't think I'll return.

Good food but poor service. We waited forever for each course, including the bill, and when I went to the cashier to ask, they weren't busy with anything else. They brought all the starters except one, which arrived after a good 5 minutes. That's not good, what a shame! The bill seemed a bit excessive to me: €30 per person for 2 starters, 5 first courses, 1 dessert, and 1 liter of house wine. Although, unfortunately, everyone in Rome is exaggerating a bit these days.

Excellent Roman trattoria, with excellent first and second courses. The desserts are worth trying, and the trio (of which there are more) is delightful.

This trattoria (with prices that aren't exactly trattoria-like) offers traditional Roman fare. The portions are generous, and the dishes are certainly old-fashioned, but it's very crowded and the space between tables is minimal!

Il posto è molto conosciuto anche da turisti. Questo ristorante vicino allo stazionamento dei tram, offre tavoli al chiuso e all'aperto. Il menù è vario e il cibo è buono. Il personale è professionale e disponibile. I prezzi sono nella media.

La mia guida delle osterie slow food del 2022 lo segnalava con la Chiocciola, massima attestazione di valore. Entrando ho visto che anche quest’anno sono all’interno della guida (ma non so se hanno la chiocciola). A prescindere, arriviamo con alta aspettativa. Che dire, più che sufficiente ma niente di più. Di ottimo abbiamo gustato la schiacciata (fatta con l’impasto della pizza), notevole. Polpette di bollito senza infamia ne lode: diciamo che il gusto c’era ma andavano masticate con impegno, per capirsi. Male male il fiore fritto con alice e mozzarella: la quantità di pastella era davvero eccessiva, copriva quasi tutto il sapore. Baccalà alla romana che non posso certo definire cattivo, al contempo gli ingredienti erano tra loro slegati. Agnello allo scottadito così così, in molti punti richiedeva una masticazione eccessiva. Insomma, non ritornerei. Col massimo rispetto per la proprietà e il personale, s’intende.
