Trattoria "Da Celeste" In Nerola

It was recommended to me by a former local restaurateur, and since then I've been back several times, bringing others along; everyone's been satisfied. The food is excellent, true home cooking typical of a trattoria. The selection isn't extensive, but everything is truly homemade. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

This historic trattoria in the heart of Nerola has been open since 1963. We had an excellent mixed grill accompanied by wild chicory and broccoli...everything was excellent, and the quality of the meat was truly top-notch. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Family-run trattoria, healthy and authentic food, pre-Covid prices, fast and attentive service—what more could you ask for? Everything was delicious: homemade pasta with porcini mushrooms, melt-in-the-mouth grilled sirloin steak, delicious sautéed chicory, good house wine. I'll definitely be back.

Great experience. We discovered it by chance while passing through Nerola and stopped for a quick lunch. Friendly owners, a pleasant, family atmosphere, and excellent food. Good value.

So, reviewing this place is quite difficult... If I were to just review the dishes, I'd rate it quite high because we ate everything and it was very well cooked (we're not talking about fancy dishes). Homemade pasta: we had fettuccine with ragù, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, and ricotta and spinach ravioli in butter and sage. The appetizer was a bit limited with the usual cured meats and cheeses. The main course was lamb chops, which was very good! The only downside is that the owner immediately starts laughing and joking, which is quite embarrassing. Plus, we asked for dessert four times at the end, but the answer was always the same. I'm just a moment away... at that point, we got up and paid to end the evening!

Friendly and professional welcome, perfect, attentive, and fast service. Excellent food. A relaxed, family atmosphere. Special mention, in addition to the delicious food, goes to Mr. Franco and his knowledge of languages! Thank you, a wonderful family Ferragosto. We'll be back soon!

Good food, but at least one ragù sauce is a must.
