Came across this trattoria while looking for the Eden caffè next door. Our quick Sunday lunch was enjoyable, the staff were helpful, the bill was average for Rome, so the price:quality ratio was favorable. Must go back. Somehow this review appeared as 2-star, I gave it 4.

Traditional Roman cuisine without being overly pretentious. Courteous and impeccable service. The ideal place to eat well and spend a relaxing evening with friends. Excessive portions—see the legendary involtino, try the artichokes and fried anchovies—more than fair prices.

05/12/2025: The carbonara was AMAZING!!! We also had the meatballs, which were phenomenal too!! The service was perfect, and everyone was so kind and friendly!
01/12/2025: Coming to Rome to be enchanted by history is guaranteed. For a good culinary experience, you need to be informed and trust Roman tradition. At Cecio, I "felt" passion, professionalism, and enjoyed good food, which I'm giving 4 stars only to give it 5 the next time I return 😬. A key indicator of quality is the "local" customers, and I've seen plenty of them here.
