An unexpected discovery, with courteous and attentive service and traditional cuisine worthy of the finest restaurants. Top-quality ingredients, the fisherman's fregula pasta is sublime, the grilled calamari is excellent and tender, the crusted tuna is a delight, and the crème brulee and house wine are also excellent.

We called at the last minute to make a reservation, the owner told us they would be there in an hour, and indeed shortly after he let us in and we had a table, everything we ate was very good, we were recommended Sardinian dishes, he also welcomed us, and spoke to us in Catalan about Alghero. Both he and his wife provided excellent service.

We absolutely loved it, highly recommended if you want to try homemade food!
Two adults and an 18-month-old child ate here.
For the little one, we ordered a half portion of pasta with sausage (a recommendation from the house, with the option to take it to the kitchen first, and have it cooked while the adults looked at the menu - a lovely touch!).
The adults shared three main dishes and two desserts (crème brûlée and tiramisu). Yes, we left quickly, but everything was just too delicious.
Excellent service. It's one of those charming places you never tire of returning to. It's a shame you're so far from home! :-)

This beautiful August, while traveling in the Alghero region, a friend recommended this charming establishment.
So, as a true food enthusiast, I stepped through the door of this restaurant... and I was delighted.
From starter to dessert, each course was a veritable dance of flavors.
The pasta, perfectly al dente (of course!), was enhanced by rich and delicious sauces.
A gourmet, authentic, and refined experience, which I recommend without hesitation.

Ottima trattoria accogliente, offre cibo tipico sardo ed è quello che cercavamo. Ho apprezzato in particolare la fregola che aveva un profumo e sapore di mare che ricorderò a lungo, frutti di mare freschissimi. Abbiamo voluto assaggiare anche il tipico porceddu e come non finire in bellezza con una buonissima seadas😋😋😋!!!

Nel caratteristico centro storico di Alghero ci sono tanti ristorantini molto carini e l’altro giorno na abbiamo scoperto un altro: il Caragol, molto accogliente e gestito da Antonio e Maurizia, due persone molto gentili, simpatiche e molto attente alle richieste dei clienti. Noi abbiamo optato per un’ottima fregula alla pescatora, ottimi spaghetti alla chitarra con vongole e bottarga grattugiata e a scaglie e agliata all’algherese. Buonissima anche la catalana! Che dire? Ci ritorneremo! Senz’altro!
