We had an excellent dinner here, great if you want to try some traditional local food. Our favorite was the seafood fregula, would really recommend that one. Also amazing seada dessert, something like a sweet fried cheese. Very good service. Also nice house wine.

I tried the snails proposed by the host attracted by the reviews and I confirm the absolute goodness. Winning recipe! We then ate the porceddu with potatoes and sweet and myrtle all seasoned with very good cannonau house wine. I recommend and if possible we will return.

Ottima trattoria accogliente, offre cibo tipico sardo ed è quello che cercavamo. Ho apprezzato in particolare la fregola che aveva un profumo e sapore di mare che ricorderò a lungo, frutti di mare freschissimi. Abbiamo voluto assaggiare anche il tipico porceddu e come non finire in bellezza con una buonissima seadas😋😋😋!!!

Trattoria in the historic center of Alghero, run by passionate, professional and courteous staff. Come here if you are looking for food cooked with the heart. A tip: the fregola with seafood is truly divine!

Very nice place located in the center of Alghero, we went there twice in a 5 day vacation. Excellent food and super friendly and helpful staff. Worth it. Recommended dish: suckling pig with roast potatoes.

Nel caratteristico centro storico di Alghero ci sono tanti ristorantini molto carini e l’altro giorno na abbiamo scoperto un altro: il Caragol, molto accogliente e gestito da Antonio e Maurizia, due persone molto gentili, simpatiche e molto attente alle richieste dei clienti. Noi abbiamo optato per un’ottima fregula alla pescatora, ottimi spaghetti alla chitarra con vongole e bottarga grattugiata e a scaglie e agliata all’algherese. Buonissima anche la catalana! Che dire? Ci ritorneremo! Senz’altro!

Ristorante Monzu

03/06/2025: I would like to start by saying that we have been lucky enough to know more than a few starred restaurants. However, Le Monzù made us spend an unexpected evening. Friendly, kind and professional waiting staff. The food was more than worthy of a Michelin star. Antonio Pedana is a young chef, but with clear ideas. We opted for the Le Origini menu and it was a very pleasant choice. Balanced and tasty dishes, accompanied by excellent workmanship. The included pre-dinners were very welcome, especially their bread accompanied by excellent olive oil. When the chef greeted all the tables we had the opportunity to meet him and have a pleasant laugh. The atmosphere in general was exceptional, also due to the fact that the restaurant is in a fantastic location. WELL DONE everyone!!!!! See you again…soon!
01/05/2025: The menu is very well structured offering tasting menu but also individualized choice. Food is excellent, presenting local mediterranean ingredients in original compositions with charm. Service is top. It was nice of chef Pedana to greet the guests during the evening.
