We're updating our review.
A favorite in the area. Spacious, comfortable, and family-friendly.
The house mixed antipasto with cured meats and cheeses, served with delicious Montepulciano jam, was delicious.
The first course was a tough one to decide: long homemade pasta with sausage and porcini mushrooms, homemade gnocchi with gurnard sauce or pesto... This time I opted for the first course. Once again, an excellent choice. The house wine was full-bodied and just right.
Due to limited time, I had to postpone dessert until the next opportunity, which I hope won't be missed.
See you soon.
P.S. For those of you who are passing through, don't hesitate to stop by; it's worth the opportunity!

Zeno is the owner, a friendly, helpful person, and very skilled in the kitchen. The homemade first course (gnocchi) was excellent, accompanied by a bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and cured meats. Excellent value.
A casual yet charming location, in the center of town but ready to welcome you indoors or outdoors.
I'll be back as soon as I get the chance.

Random choice (due to an unexpected event) for a Monday lunch. Authentic, traditional yet unconventional cuisine with slightly unusual combinations. The owner is very friendly, as is the service. Highly recommended for anyone in the area, and not just anyone!

We stopped for a quick lunch while exploring Rionero Sannitico. The owner was incredibly kind, making us feel right at home! Since we were in a hurry, we didn't get to try the authentic dishes, so we opted instead for some excellent sandwiches, made with fresh, quality ingredients. I hope to try the food again when I'm back in Rionero Sannitico!

The soul of Italian hospitality: genuineness, simplicity, cordiality and availability in a mountain context. Zeno and his partner were exceptional. It was very easy to create the favorable environment for a fruitful exchange on the traditions and culture of Molise. “Slow” tourism aims at an authentic approach to travel. In the Trattoria Black River that authenticity overflows without reserve in the dishes and in the hospitality. “Chapeau”, Serafino.

Today we went to eat at this trattoria where we tasted some excellent dishes. Fresh pasta made by them, with really delicate and tasty sauces, you could taste and above all identify all the flavors. The second course as a surprise was the "icing on the cake", where taste and passion went hand in hand. The chef with his partner are really nice people.
