Trattoria Bere Vecchie In Cisternino

Absolutely lovely in a small side street. Very friendly and efficient staff. The orecchiette is very good and authentic. The oven-baked lamb had quite a lot of bones and not much meat, with an intense flavor. Very good white wine from the half bottle.

A charming little alleyway and then this trattoria Bère Vecchie (from the Spanish for "old quarter"). Very friendly service, absolutely uncomplicated. We eat very well, first with various orecchiette, then we share a plate of lamb (the pieces are cut with a funny nose-to-tail style). It's yucky, but not too bad, just rather chewy. Not cheap, but OK. Recommended, as it's extremely friendly!

The trattoria enjoys a charming location in the heart of Cisternino. The outdoor tables are set along a quaint and picturesque street, but the space is truly uncomfortable: a narrow street, lots of tourist traffic, and tables too close together. Inside, it's a bit quieter, although the room we were seated in was rather small: about 10 tables in 30 square meters, so seating was close together and there was little privacy. The real problem is the wait times, which are decidedly long due to the heavy influx of tourists. This also affects the service: waiters often got confused with orders, and some tables complained of delays in the wine order or errors in the dishes requested. The positive aspect is undoubtedly the quality of the food. The house antipasto (30 euros, ideal for two) offers excellent quality products, not abundant but of a high standard. The orecchiette with ragù and the involtino della nonna were truly delicious. We skipped the meat, both because we were full and because of the excessive wait, preferring to leave time to explore the beautiful town. The prices are high, above average, as is often the case in tourist areas. Considering the large influx of customers, I think they could afford to reduce costs a bit instead of relying solely on passing tourists. In summary: excellent product quality, but the organization and service could use some work. The experience was pleasant for the flavors, but less so for the convenience and management.

Truly a wonderful experience, impeccable service, delicious food. A peaceful and pleasant place for a romantic evening.

We stopped for lunch at this restaurant, recommended especially for meat dishes, my husband had the bombette of various flavors and they were really very good

Locale molto caratteristico, con tovaglia a quadri e piatti e bicchieri di ceramica artigianale. Carne alla brace a scelta direttamente dal banco macelleria. Porzioni molto abbondanti e piatti della tradizione. Comunque possibilità di mangiare anche primi senza carne. Personale molto simpatico e veloce. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliatissimo!

Bellissima esperienza nel centro storico di Cisternino, tutto molto buono ( tagliere misti salumi e formaggi ottimi) piatti più che abbondanti e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliatissimo !!!
