An experience not to be repeated

Everything was very good. The staff was excellent and the owner was friendly.

Paper placemat... rightly so, being a trattoria. So ask for a house wine... being a trattoria. Nothing. A glass of wine cost 5 euros. We noticed a couple of cans of Ronco wine in front of our table 🤔. The owner was very hasty..... Portions were average, but the price was high.... for a trattoria! We've seen and eaten better for the same price.....

Good food, somewhat lacking service. We weren't informed about the option of ordering the set menu, which is much more affordable.

I've been there a couple of times this year, once in August, and I had a great time both times. It's a simple restaurant with good food. I'll be back again.

I'm updating my review to respond to the owner: I believe her few and very confusing ideas accurately reflect my experience at her restaurant. Just so you know, my husband teaches restaurant techniques, so maybe I know what I'm talking about. Best regards Tuscan trattoria, much appreciated by the locals. The lady I assume is the owner is very busy. We didn't try any platters or special dishes, so my review is based on the spaghetti with tomato sauce, which we specifically requested because it wasn't on the menu, and the tripe and baked tomatoes, plus a bottle of their white wine. Neither good nor bad. Perhaps the best part was the dessert. But there are bad nights and bad times. I don't know if I'd go back. The spaghetti was barely edible, but the sauce, frankly, seemed watered down. The tripe, cut differently than I'm used to, with Parmesan cheese, was really good. Since it was busy, the wait was really long. Would I recommend it? I don't know.

The dinner met our expectations; we ate well and had a good time. The bill was reasonable for what we ate.
