Trattoria a bit hidden near home. A magical place, super welcoming and very kind staff. Highly recommended.!! A fixed stop for the weekend.

Trattoria in Bologna in the hospital area, visited for lunch without a reservation. As soon as you arrive you realize that time has stood still in the room for at least 50 years: the furniture, the tables, the walls... everything harks back to a time that was one or two generations ago, giving the place a very rustic, authentic and easy-going spirit. The menu features great Bolognese classics such as tagliatelle, cold cuts etc. with some sporadic incursions from Campania (for example I tried friarielli with an unmistakably Campanian recipe). Simple recipes with simple preparations, generous portions and good enough to be satisfied. Friendly service that takes it easy, very competitive bill, like a true popular trattoria. A place from another era that can be good if you happen to be in the area or maybe you are there for an appointment at the Maggiore and want something better than a Sandwich at the baretto.

I had a great experience here. Just checked out of my airbnb and was looking for something to eat nearby. This place just happened to be open. It's open from 12 to 1430 only, not as stated on the google maps. And if you can't find it by following the google maps directions, you can add the Coop supermarket to your stop, that'll take you to the correct entrance, not the fence in the park. The food is lovely! It has a homey, warm feeling to it. Not too heavy, nice a filling. Claudio, who took my order, couldn't speak English but he was very nice and patient with me. I ordered tortelloni al Ragù, the tortelloni is stuffed with what I assume is cheese and spinach and pairs well with the sauce. I also ordered their coffee. It tastes pretty nice, I never thought I'd like pure espresso but it's really fragrant and doesn't taste bitter. The decor has a quaint and rustic style to it with red checkered tablecloth, warm wooden walls and simple decoration. I love it! It's a very comfortable atmosphere.
