Formal location, beautifully set table, and the idea of having company for the meal (the Christmas goose in this case) was a lovely one.
The chef's "Welcome" was very welcome (photo), accompanied by two glasses of sparkling wine. Dinner then began with a bottle of white wine to enjoy throughout the evening and a seafood tasting appetizer consisting of three truly delicious dishes (photo).
I liked the seafood first course (photo), but nothing special. The ravioli (photo) were not bad, but I was hoping for something more.
The second courses were extraordinary: we opted for an octopus main course and a venison main course (photo). Both were delicious, both the meat and the fish, but especially the pairings with which the dishes were paired.
Fabulous desserts, top-notch tiramisu, and the "arrivederci" (goodbye) was also greatly appreciated, consisting of three types of cookies served with a glass of Ramandolo (photo).
All in all, we had a lovely evening and a satisfying dinner.

If you're lucky enough to be looked after by Leonardo, your lunch/dinner will be perfect.
Traditional dishes are excellently executed, and the accompanying wines are always spot on.

A restaurant with a long and solid tradition located in the Friulian countryside.
The cuisine offers excellent local dishes, but also includes seafood options.
We found some dishes, due to their preparation, not up to par with the restaurant.
The wine list is extensive, and the waiter's recommendations are invaluable.
The service is truly superb: attentive, professional, and welcoming.
The price is reasonable.

We went for dinner, and ate mostly fish...what can I say? Everything was delicious and fresh. The place is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner was also truly kind and helpful. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

After so many years, it remains one of the true stalwarts of Friuli Venezia Giulia gastronomy. A welcoming, family-run trattoria, it consistently delivers on the highest quality food and wine. Ivan and his family are friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable masters, guiding you on a culinary journey that blends local tradition with refined culinary touches in a blend of flavors, aromas, and combinations that awaken the taste buds and stimulate the most dormant neurons. The "patate sglonfade" (fried potatoes) is a must-try, a true masterpiece of image, effect, and flavor. A generous shower of white truffles adorns various dishes, including spectacular tagliolini, delicately grilled and smoked meats, masterfully presented, mushrooms prepared in a variety of delicate ways and presented in the most noble ways. Finally, after dessert (spectacular offerings, including crepes flambéed with Grand Marnier), the "pasta alla Ivan" (pasta Ivan), a simple yet astonishingly authentic dish that will delight any guest, already full and satisfied with what they've tasted so far.
A top-notch winery with special offers and tours, including those featuring lesser-known but highly valuable local wineries and wines.
