I recently went to Trattoria al Sub and I must say that it was an extraordinary experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, perfect for those looking for an authentic place to enjoy good fish.

On Tuesday for lunch, many places are closed, nothing better than trying this trattoria restaurant. Excellent dishes, formal and friendly service, bill in line with the quality offered. It is essential to book because otherwise you risk being left out. I will also be back on Wednesdays, Thursdays,..😁

One of those rare gems that you find only every once in a while. At our arrival, we told the gentleman (I believe the owner) that we speak no Italian. He told us, he doesn’t speak English. Yet he patiently explained us everything on the menu in the best way he could possibly do. All that without rushing us, investing the time to make sure we understand the menu. Such humility is a rare trait nowadays, especially in gastronomy. The food itself was 10/10 and the fish dishes were absolutely perfect.
Overall, our experience was extraordinary. We visited this restaurant for the first time, yet we felt at home by the time we left. This is what true gastronomy is about. This is what makes a great experience. Highly recommended.

Nice place, small but very well kept.
Very courteous owner.
The dishes are all really good, but don't miss the cod meatballs.

Di ritorno dalla visita al castello Miramare ci siamo fermati e siamo stati accolti, senza problemi anche a ridosso dell’orario di chiusura. Servizio veloce e professionale, piatti Tradizionali e buoni. Abbiamo preso un buonissimo antipasto di mare, delle polpettine di pesce spada, gnocchetti con funghi e gamberi, un rombo con patate. Prezzi nella media. Da consigliare!
