A quiet and charming restaurant with a breathtaking view of the expansive landscape, right in the center of Castelcivita. Excellent food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices for the quality. I would gladly return.

Found by chance after taking the guided tour of the caves, a very pleasant surprise. Excellent food, all home-grown (saffron) and locally sourced, excellent service, and a beautifully decorated and very welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed the ravioli filled with saffron-infused buffalo ricotta and pancetta: mouth-watering. The balcony offers a splendid panoramic view. I highly recommend eating there.

This trattoria has a lovely view and the food was very tasty. The pasta e patate con provola was very unusual and filling. The cavatelli al ragu cilentano was rich with chunks of meat. Service was friendly and professional. An excellent place for a leisurely lunch.

I went there for lunch today with my family after visiting the Castelcivita caves. I'll start by saying I wasn't familiar with this restaurant... we ate wonderfully and received a warm welcome. Excellent, perfectly cooked food, impeccable service, and a breathtaking view of the valley. We had an appetizer and a first course: delicious cured meats and cheeses, exquisite eggplant and zucchini, meatballs with grandma's sauce, top-notch mozzarella and prosciutto, Sorrento-style gnocchi, yellow ravioli with local saffron, ricotta and lemon, and expertly made ravioli with Cilento sauce. In short... a truly wonderful discovery. I recommend it, but only to true gourmets! The price is very fair, and I'll be back again and again! Well done!

Yesterday we had dinner in Castelcivita at this very welcoming place. Quality food, family-run, great prices. I recommend dining on the balcony overlooking the valley. Bring a sweater!

Wander through the streets of Civita until you reach the terrace, where you can admire a splendid panoramic view while enjoying locally sourced produce grown directly by the owner. A culinary experience that evokes the true flavors and atmosphere of home.

What a pleasant surprise. I went there almost by chance; I was passing through, and alone, so I didn't get to sample as much as I do when there's a group of people. I ordered a mixed platter of local cured meats and cheeses, truly excellent, made with quality ingredients: prosciutto crudo, capocollo, dried sausage, soppressata (my only small criticism: a few more slices of sausage and soppressata would be better), mozzarella, and "mascuotto" (a type of salami) with delicious cherry tomatoes. Then I had the baked provola with porcini mushrooms, a dish presented in a spacious clay "tianiello" (a large dish) with plenty of mushrooms. The house wine, according to Raffaele, the manager, is a Taurasi, perhaps not quite DOCG, but truly excellent. The price was reasonable. I think I'll be back with friends. I recommend it.

I miei genitori erano stati in questo posto scoperto un po' per caso un po' di tempo fa, me ne avevano parlato molto, molto bene e così oggi abbiamo deciso di andarci. La distanza non è poca, ma ne è valsa assolutamente la pena, non solo perché Castelcivita è un posto davvero delizioso, ma perché nella trattoria 'il portello' si mangia davvero benissimo. Abbiamo ordinato 3 antipasti 'il portello' che erano molto abbondanti e veramente eccezionali, i prodotti sono di altissima qualità. Raffaele, con il quale abbiamo scambiato qualche chiacchiera sembra davvero una persona squisita, seleziona i prodotti che serve con molta cura e tutto nel giro di pochissimi km. Anche i ravioli erano buonissimi e fatti in casa. La ragazza che ci ha servito al tavolo è stata super carina ed educata. Il posto è tranquillo e gode di una vista veramente bella. Rapporto qualità/quantità/prezzo veramente ottimo! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente

Ottimo posto, pasta con provola e patate davvero buonissima. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, ci ha anche offerto un piccolo antipasto e i caffè. Consigliatissimo anche per i prezzi.
