An excellent culinary experience with Mediterranean flavors. The owners were very kind, especially their son Salvo, who was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this place by chance, and once again, he had a lucky touch: Excellent cuisine, superb service – including English-speaking service – a surprising evening that was well worth it. Highly recommended! The only suggestion for improvement: A little work on the background music – it was unobtrusive, but more like wallpaper music – it could be improved…

One of the main goals in travelling to Italy my friends and I had was to enjoy good Italian food made by great people; and we absolutely got that experience at Al Gatto Nero! They were kind and jovial, we felt so welcomed and happy to be dinning at their restaurant. The food was amazing, it was flavourful and rich, with simple and fresh ingredients that made such an impression on us. Beyond that, there was real value in the portions for all the dishes, with prices that are incredibly reasonable for such great quality! The space is decorated nicely, its both sharp and cozy, and leaves you not feeling crowded: so you can relax whilst still enjoying the surrounding company of other customers. I don’t know when we will be back in Sicily, but I know we will be back for the Gato Nero, thank you so much for taking care of us and for the wonderful food!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. She had the Palermo-style panelle and the sliced ​​Picanha steak. I had the Irish beef entrecote and wilted spinach. Then we shared an excellent Pizzo Calabro truffle. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back. The table service was attentive and prompt.

A local recommended it to us, and it was a great choice. We went without a reservation, and they made room for us for dinner. We ordered the parmiggiana, the Mr. GattoNero pasta, and the picanha. Everything was delicious; we were eager to order the carbonara because it looked so good. For dessert, we had the salted caramel cheesecake, another hit. Warm and family-friendly atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our dinner at this lovely restaurant. My husband had the Wagyu steak and I had the spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino. Both dishes were delicious and we finished off our meal with sharing the tartuffo pistacchio. The restaurant is bright and inviting. The staff despite a full restaurant are very attentive and helpful with recommendations for meals. Highly recommend 👌

Small, simple but effective neighborhood restaurant. The staff speaks English and is very friendly to customers. The food is good and inexpensive. Nothing to complain about.
