While in Civitavecchia Italy before or cruise the next day. We decided to wander around and stumbled upon this wonderful Irish Pub, The Black Lodge. It was a wonderful experience and added to an already great day. They have lots of spirits available for shots and of course lots of wonderful beers to try. (If only we had the time to experience them all) The owner greeted us and was so friendly and inviting it made our short stay really enjoyable. I would highly recommend you stopping by this wonderful Irish Pub, The Black Lodge, located in Civitavecchia, Italy. Paul and Andrea Canada 🇨🇦

Absolutely wonderful! A great, quaint Irish Pub in Civitavecchia, Italy 🇮🇹! I went for the Guinness and stayed for the Owner's kindness. Definitely a pub I'd return to time and again!

17/12/2025: If you're looking for a REAL trattoria, you've tried it. Housed in a former highway service station, Gattarelli Antonio Bar Ristorante Tabacchi & Pizzeria "La Esso" offers excellent bar/tobacconist and restaurant services. Very popular, the restaurant has a dedicated entrance for bar and tobacconist, while the remaining area accommodates tables and a wood-fired pizza oven. The business is family-run, and the welcome is warm. They specialize in Roman cuisine and pizza. In both areas, they are second to none. The pizzas are extremely thin and delicious. I had spectacular fettuccine alla boscaiola. Ideal for a getaway out of town, it has a large parking lot that tends to fill up quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos.
17/12/2025: Great experience! The fried foods and appetizers were delicious, as was the excellent pizza. The service was friendly and welcoming.
