I'm giving it three stars, a bit like "The Ambassador Has No Penis," simply because I ate, but not well or badly, at least in my opinion. My partner's opinion is different. We went with the idea of eating a lot, since it's not our first time here. We ordered two portions of nachos with hot cheese (I don't remember the name exactly), but the fact is that when we tasted them, we realized they'd been fried in oil, but... they tasted only of oil, and they were fried to such an extent that, having tasted them, I made a joke along the lines of "it's like eating crostoli at Carnival." The Ascoli olives weren't bad, let's just say they're okay. The problem comes later... I ordered a club sandwich (edible), while my partner ordered a hamburger with a side of potatoes. And here comes the sore point: the bread tasted stale upon first bite. As if it had been bought a few days after it was baked, because it tasted stale. The beacon, I'd like to add a note. I understand that the price of the product itself may be high, but you can't just give me a small slice, at least 2/3, yes, not to mention that it should be crunchy to bite into, but instead it was barely cooked, it felt like eating a slice of raw ham. However, the huge lettuce leaf (which is fattening) is never missing. The burger, however, was good, nothing can be said about that. Then a note for the waitress: if I say 1 liter of sparkling water, at least tell me, look, we have half-liter bottles, not liters, and she only brings me a 500ml one. The napkin holders on the tables, check every now and then if they're full, otherwise what are we going to wipe our mouths and hands with? Not to mention the Pepsi on tap, large glasses as we said, and they arrive with ones slightly larger than a normal glass. I'd like to point out that I reported some of these shortcomings to the cashier, who was very kind and understanding, confirming that she would investigate the matter. I give the establishment a point because she was honest, and I truly hope she'll do what she promised. As for the rest, I don't want to be the typical customer who complains about everything, but some considerations are necessary, as is only right. Also, after this experience, we went to a bar in Caerano, and it would have been better to have dined there, as we would have definitely spent less and eaten more satisfyingly and even better. Total: €64 for three.
Date: February 2, 2025. Responding to the owner's comment:
I wanted to clarify that I didn't criticize the total price per person for what we ate. I wouldn't want people to think of the classic "for €21 these days, what do you expect to eat?" argument. The price is fair.
As for the bread used for the club sandwich and hamburger, I don't question the provenance, but you know, not everything is perfect; there can be some "anomalies" with some products, which I think is normal. The questionable nature of the bread, let's say, leaves me perplexed.
As for the beacon factor, which isn't specified as crunchy on the menu, it's acceptable, and I take note of it, but not so much about the quantity (a 4cm slice seems like too little to me, at least 2 or 3 slices, then yes).
Regarding the service, they were very clear, and I completely agree with you.
