A wonderful experience I've been wanting to have for a long time. A quaint and informal atmosphere, with excellent service (kind and courteous).
The food lived up to expectations; it was very good; in fact, I wasn't expecting such a balanced dish and such a distinct array of flavors, the result of genuine ingredients. Perhaps the menu is a bit too broad, so much so that you might find yourself confused.
The beer (IPA) is also good, with excellent fruity aromas that pair well with the dishes. The price is reasonable.

A lovely place, different from the norm, and very welcoming.
Something unique in our region, excellent food!
I recommend booking in advance because the place is very small and chaotic.

A unique food experience at Terracotta Food Space, where the potato reigns supreme.
If you're looking for something unconventional, you've come to the right place... the first Patata Restaurant in the province of Brindisi, and I believe also in Puglia.
The restaurant is small and welcoming, overlooking a beautiful square in the historic center of Mesagne. It's managed directly by the owners, who behind the counter artfully assemble the ingredients from the various menu options on a bed of 350 grams of a particular type of potato, which the waiter explained originates from the southern Bari area but also from Calabria.
Chatting with the owner, I asked him a little about how the idea for this truly unique concept came about, at least in our latitudes. He told me he was inspired by some trips to England and Turkey, where he saw similar offerings, which he then customized into what is now his restaurant's offering.
Let's get to the dish. We tried a few items on the menu, particularly the "Warhol" with mortadella, burrata, and creamed Grana Padano cheese; the "Guernica" with crispy guanciale, Gorgonzola, and porcini mushrooms; the "Commestibili" (named after the square in front of the restaurant) with capocollo, stracciatella, and sun-dried tomatoes; and finally the "Azzolino" with prosciutto, burrata, and creamed eggplant.
The potatoes are cooked in a special oven that simulates steaming, making the texture very soft and not stringy at all.
The dish is very generous and beautiful to look at, but also very tasty and filling.
The menu also offers sandwiches, salads, and platters. The presence of potatoes in the appetizers is a bit repetitive.
3 excellent beers...an IPA, Beggia, and Agricola.
There's a selection of artisanal desserts, which we skipped because we were so full.
The bill was very competitive at €35 per couple.
It's definitely worth a visit.

A restaurant whose signature dish is the baked potato, seasoned in a variety of ways. The appetizers are also potato-based. Alternatively, they only serve sandwiches and salads.
The square where the restaurant stands is beautiful.
