The place isn't immediately eye-catching from the outside, but once inside, it's surprisingly warm, welcoming, and clean. The mixed antipasto and meat dishes are excellent (they cook them to perfection). Prices are average, and the service is high-quality and friendly.

Excellent food and quick service. I accidentally didn't recommend the chicken steak with porcini mushrooms, and I also accidentally left out the roast potatoes. I've been back after a few years, and everything is still delicious.

I've rarely eaten so well, and I've been to so many places. Even a simple bruschetta with a drizzle of olive oil is top notch. The highlight, however, was the grilled lamb, a truly generous portion and of the highest quality. The baked potatoes, the eggplant mushrooms, and the appetizers in general were equally excellent. Even the dessert, ricotta and pear, was so good and firm, with just the right consistency. We're from Rimini, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Thank you.

Everything was good, from the atmosphere upon entry to the bill upon leaving. The food was all good; I had the penne alla brigante, a bean and broccoli soup with baked bread and the roast lamb... everything was very good, and the waitress was kind, smiling, and very courteous... I recommend it.

28/02/2026: The menu features carefully selected dishes, based on local products. The kitchen is clearly busy, and on weekends, it can make you wait longer than expected. But the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. The service is friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back. Reservations are highly recommended.
29/01/2026: At Osteria del Contadino, you immediately feel at home. Simonetta, the owner, is always available, smiling, and truly kind: her presence makes all the difference. I ate an excellent cutlet, well-made and flavorful, accompanied by wild chicory and truly special carrots, cooked with care and authentic flavor. To finish, some homemade biscuits, simple yet delicious, reminiscent of tradition and attention to detail. A place where the cuisine is sincere and the welcome is that of a true osteria of the past. Highly recommended.

30/01/2026: Yesterday I wanted to have dinner at a restaurant near Sonnino, but it was closed, so my husband and I drove up to the village and stopped at this place. It was the last Thursday in January, so it's normal for there to be no customers, but they treated us well, and the dishes on the menu are typical of the area. The appetizer wasn't bad, with a certain homemade quality, the veal steak was good, and the sautéed mixed chicory was delicious. I had an unpleasant episode of sudden low blood pressure, and the lady at the restaurant intervened immediately, making me feel at ease and reassuring me until I recovered, truly kind. The only thing, in my opinion, is that it's a bit expensive. But as we all know, everything increases.
28/10/2025: It's nice to arrive in an unfamiliar place and feel at home. Warm welcome, friendliness, and professionalism. A place that evokes the past, the family... Excellent selection of ingredients, delicious dishes for the eyes and the palate... Highly recommended. Thanks, Ignazio
