If you want to spend a day in the countryside, this is the right place.

A lovely mountain trattoria, worthy of the name. The portions are not small and the quality/price ratio is good. For large groups, this is the perfect place!

Covered and spartan outdoor area: wooden benches and a table covered with a paper tablecloth. Prices are high for both first and second courses. Dishes could be improved in terms of quality and price.

Once again, I decided to spend a weekend in a tent with my dog, and for the second time, I chose the splendid Santallago estate. The weather was fantastic, and the "sea" of chestnuts was ready for harvest. Understandably, the same idea occurred to a few thousand people—families, animals, and tents—who scattered across the enormous space and the fantastic lawn, without disturbing one another. Given the beautiful occasion, I called two friends and invited them to join me to enjoy one of the last glimpses of good weather and have lunch together at the restaurant. And so it was. The outdoor space is partly covered by a canopy, partly open. The tables (plenty) are all set and already reserved. We still found our own corner and were truly happy with the experience. For the record, for those reading this, I've removed one star from the service. The staff, courteous and helpful, were occasionally overwhelmed by the sheer number of people they had to serve, with a menu consisting of many courses, making it difficult for the kitchen to manage. The wait times were longer than usual, but anyone who frequents these places at this time can understand. The food was excellent, and the fried "morecci" were delectable. The price was perfect. A note for those who don't appreciate the entrance fee: I understand that, being alone, I don't have the impact of a large family, but I must say that those who arrive with a packed lunch have access to enormous grills and can manage their day independently, even taking home as much chestnuts as they want. A suggestion for the managers (unless it's already the case): they could deduct the cost of the entrance fee or something similar from the restaurant bill. I hope this was helpful to someone. Excellent solution, found by chance...will definitely return

Stunning estate with a restaurant and bar. Excellent food.

Tables set with paper and pins, we ordered two tortelli with meat sauce, then one mixed grill and one potato chip, because the prices were a bit out of line with the environment. We each got about nine tortelli, then bones that looked like ribs, one sausage, and one piece of chicken. The chips were also meager. And I say that for one person, eh... I'll attach a photo, anyway. All this, with a half-liter of wine and coffee for €63.90, discounted to €60. We weren't told why, but we made up our own minds. We got up hungry, but honestly, happy, because if we'd ordered more and received more of these portions at those prices, we would have been even more disappointed. The plates, in the sense of tableware, are also too big for three bones and a sausage. We're HAPPY to pay those prices, but it has to be worth it. The place is absolutely not worth the prices, and I understand why someone might sit down hungry because they've been walking a long way and are ready for anything. That's my opinion.

Heavenly place. Too bad it's not better maintained.
