06/05/2025: We went for breakfast this morning: even though it was only 8.30, there were a few pastries on the small display stand, along with a few other sweets, so I chose the only classic and timeless cream croissant, along with a cappuccino. The dough was well flaky and honeycombed, generously sized, with little cream inside but velvety and rich in quality egg yolks and vanilla. The gentleman who served us was kind and helpful to our requests. Certainly the truly special thing about this place is not the food itself, which they explained to us is partly from their small laboratory, partly from the production of an external pastry shop, but the location with attention to every detail, all bon ton and literary themed, and the magical, relaxing and refined atmosphere.
