The Mandragola tavern was our choice for mid-August lunch during the visit to Borgo Cervo. After consulting the numerous reviews we were excited to taste the dishes recommended by many others and I must say that our expectations were met: the grilled octopus was very tender, the squid well cooked, the pasta with artisanal pesto was perhaps typical, but less special. Given all this, I also understand the disappointment of some reviewers who gave severe judgments towards the service and the place; few seats available, very close to each other and therefore very noisy and uncomfortable; The set was not very well looked after, as was the cleanliness of the seats, which were a little dusty. Further confusion is generated by the numerous menus, distributed partly on the entrance wall of the restaurant, partly on a blackboard, partly on the menu and partly on a piece of paper written in pen; if all the written prices were traceable, a part of the menu spoken orally without prices and in a great hurry is added; Small measures, greater care and friendliness would make this place worthy of the food that is served, exquisite and its prices, a little above average.
