This was recommended by a Slow Food guide, and I was thrilled that it was open in January when so many other places were closed. The meal felt special. First, the bread was good, not just obligatory filler. We ordered the house antipasti to share between the two of us and were astonished at how much food kept coming. I was especially fond of a crispy stacked zucchini assembly that I don’t know the name of and also the marinated aubergine slices. Our main courses were also delicious. I would also like to mention the kindness of the team that fed us, both front-of-house and kitchen. I felt in the presence of goodness.

We wished we spoke better Italian to properly thank the chef! Experiencing Puglia in winter where there is not a soul and somehow we found the perfect place to have a comforting meal. Service and food impeccable, we felt welcomed and the food was delicious! 100% recommend.

We went for lunch today. Excellent restaurant at the entrance to the historic center of Cisternino, refined and at the same time informal. The homemade orecchiette are excellent. The rabbit from the Itria valley with fennel is unmissable. Impeccable and discreet service.

I went to this Osteria on the 1st of the year with my daughter.
As soon as we sat down we were welcomed to the table with a glass of prosecco and some scones offered by the restaurant.
Excellent food with high quality raw materials.
Excellent quality/price ratio.

Very nice restaurant in the town of Cisternino. We ate for the first course “Gil gnocchetti di patate con fonduta di canestrato locale e tartufo” and “Le Orecchiette fatteca mano con braciole di Vitello e Polpette”. For the second course, we both ate “La Suprema di Baccala scotata con panura aromatizzata”. Ebolos 1/2 lt. of house white wine. The pastas were good, but not excellent but we can say that the Baccala was the best.
The service was very friendly and helpful. We will return.
The bill was €69.00 and considering that there were 2 first courses, 2 second courses plus 1/2 lt of wine, it was good

I had been there several years ago with my parents and I remembered the quality of the orecchiette, which is why I went back last week and nothing had changed, in fact they were spectacular (both with meat sauce, meatballs and chops and with the turnip greens).
The place is warm and welcoming, the service excellent, the food even better.
The mixed roast was also excellent, lamb and sausage really good.

What can I say without words. Even though coming from Bari, I have never eaten such a good plate of orecchiette and turnips. Impeccable service, excellent welcome and everything good. Also a stone's throw from the historic center of #cisternino

Une sublime découverte.
A l’écart des ruelles connues de Cisternino, ce restaurant à la cuisine familiale est tout simplement extra.
Un accueil chaleureux et qui plus est, un menu traduit en français !
