Everything was excellent. The only flaw, now common throughout Salento, is the price. Restaurants are incredibly expensive. The €80 per person price tag has become accepted. A plate of mussels, good, was €20. Exorbitant prices. I'm Italian, though, so I'm a bit of a complainer. But there were six English people sitting next to me. The poor father must have shelled out around €450 by the end of the evening; he was staring blankly. He spoke little. He was already imagining the rest. We'll be moving next year. We need to show some dissatisfaction. Quality can be maintained even at a reasonable price.

Regular customers, we return every time we go on holiday. The quality of the products, the service and the environment are fantastic. I allowed myself to make a small criticism and the owner, instead of getting angry, immediately made a small change. A spark of hope in a territory that does not know how to do tourism.

Beautiful setting, excellent food, but the experience was disappointing.
The service was not very friendly or warm. There were plenty of staff rushing around, but each seemed to have just one task and couldn’t respond to what was actually needed. So we waited for the one person whose job it was to take orders, while others stood by doing nothing.
The vibe tries for shabby chic but lands on just shabby. Uneven chairs, chipped dishes, awkward details.
The food? Excellent.
Linguine had a lovely cayenne-smoked -paprika kick. Octopus was tender and generous. Crisp potatoes were addictive. Fritto misto was fine but uninspired.
The chefs are the highlight.
Shame the front of house doesn’t match their standard. Wouldn’t return.

A dinner with the scent of the sea.
We decided to stay in Tricase to discover the flavors of Taverna del Porto, which many have spoken highly of, but what we experienced went beyond expectations.
A romantic location, like an ancient inn with candles and a fresh fish counter in sight. The sea enters through the large windows and arrives right to the table.
From the first courses chosen, to the selection of wines to the kindness of the staff, everything was perfect. Quality fish, very fresh. Raw materials expertly treated and brought to the table with high-level dishes.
A special thanks to the owner, Alessandro, who made us feel like special guests.
We will definitely be back!

Bravi!

Posto curato e servizio impeccabile.
