Excellent environment and food immersed in the paths of history

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. The service is very disorganized and fake friendly. Pouring a glass of wine from two bottles without first trying the new one after uncorking it is not possible. The food is ok but we ate better in Naples. At these prices we would have expected something different overall.

Very welcoming place full of history

Very well-kept historic inn with simple, well-executed cuisine and extremely friendly and attentive service. Only flaw? The quality/price ratio is unbalanced, but the overall experience makes you (almost) forget it

Certainly an evocative environment, with important historical references, this is the place where Caravaggio is said to have frequented and where the accident that caused a gash on his face occurred. You enter via a narrow and characteristic alley and are then welcomed into the room. Inside there are several rooms all full of references to the great painter, large and very elegant. My experience is of a Sunday lunch: good starters (meatballs and courgette flowers), decent first courses (Genoese and spaghetti with clams), good pastiera. The service and waiting times, however, were very slow (about an hour between starter and first course... among other things, we also had to wait about 15 minutes to take orders). Friendly and polite staff. Prices a little higher than average, but adequate for the type of place. It is still an elegant place and I would like to point out that on Wednesdays they have live jazz music

Typical traditional Neapolitan cuisine with an eye to innovation. Truly excellent dishes, we have tasted several for both lunch and dinner and they are a pleasure for the palate. Wide choice of quality wines. Excellent service, kind and friendly staff. Historic inn with a warm and welcoming environment, the customer is pampered! Highly recommended! An obligatory stop for tourists and non-tourists (I am Neapolitan and therefore I write with full knowledge of the facts...)

We stayed at the Cerriglio inn, a soft and very charming place with its own personal history. We ate very well; the staff is very courteous and very nice, especially Mr. Mario and Salvatore. We will be back.

The place is very nice, hidden in the alleys of Naples. The food was good, definitely not a tourist restaurant. There are some improvements to be made (cooking times for meat and pasta), the staff is very kind and helpful.
