Taverna Caorlina In Caorle

Good food. A fairly large portion. I ordered pasta with seafood.

Visited the restaurant. The food was average, the prices too. There is another restaurant right next door that is much better, so I would recommend it, but it is more crowded there, we didn't wait for a table here even during dinner time

We've been coming to this restaurant for years now and keep coming back. The seafood entrees are almost a one-course meal, so much so that the quantity (and quality) of the fish is so generous (the prices are therefore justified): spaghetti with squid ink (€18, the blackest I've ever seen in Italy!), spaghetti with Caorle baby octopus (€14, surprisingly tender fish), and the mixed fried fish are excellent (although this year it's increased from €18 to €20, thanks to Uncle Covid, damn it, then €26 in 2025). You can also order fish by the 100g (eel is a must-try in the area). So, again, the portions are adequate (consider that I eat a lot and usually make a pot of pasta at home! If it satisfies me...). The owner has always been a pain in the ass (in all these years, never a smile, never a word, I think he's only friendly to his family), but we get over it because the waitresses are very kind. For those visiting Caorle and who love seafood, this is a must-visit! Be careful, I read a fake review on TripAdvisor that said the bill for a mixed fried fish and prosecco was €90: absolutely not true, it must be a competitor. A mixed fried fish and a bottle of prosecco will be €40, and a bottle of prosecco will be €15-20. Considering there's NO COVER CHARGE, you made up the €90, you idiot! (These estimates are from a few years ago; today, a mixed fried fish and a bottle of prosecco will be €52.)

The fish soup is a good, comforting bowl of rich sea flavor. Pasta tasteful but not memorable. Bottom line: the tomato sauce is too dominant in general.

Excellent experience. We had dinner there two nights in a row during our stay in Caorle. The dishes were generous and the fish was excellent. The service was absolutely excellent. The prices are average for the quality. Thanks to Gianni for recommending this restaurant! 😉

I've only been to the restaurant. The atmosphere is excellent, the service is excellent, and the food is plentiful and delicious. The prices are very high!

Proprietario molto gentile, posto incantevole e servizio veloce. Ottima la pizza senza glutine ma soprattutto la birra! Celiaca molto felice.

Avevo già recensito questa taverna, in passato, con note entusiaste. Oggi purtroppo devo ricredermi. La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata la estrema scortesia del personale: eravamo in 9; e solo la presenza di spirito del malcapitato ha tramutato in battuta di spirito delle frasi potenzialmente piuttosto offensive della cameriera ("lei stia zitto, che crea solo confusione" Sic.... E amenità simili). La qualità del cibo è accettabile per quanto non sia sfuggito a nessuno che c'erano per lo più cozze: di altro pesce, molto poco. Ho dovuto fare sostituire dei bicchieri, lavati male: può succedere ma non ci si aspetta che il cameriere sbuffi e l'uomo alla cassa mormori un insulto diretto a te. Le porzioni, rispetto al passato, si sono ridotte sensibilmente. Salvo il conto, tutto sommato equilibrato. Ma dubito ci rimetterò piede a breve. Peccato perché la posizione è favolosa e l'ambiente davvero suggestivo. Spero possano far tesoro delle critiche e tornare agli antichi fasti!
