Tao Sushi In Cagliari

Always one of my chosen restaurants in Cagliari to enjoy good sushi and oriental cuisine. But not last night, the waiter at the cash register apologized saying: as it was late they were in a hurry in the kitchen. The worst chicken rice in teriaki sauce. I paid and thanked, not only did I not digest but I woke up with a headache. What a pity. I will definitely try again hoping to get better.

I lived in Japan for a long time. The sushi here is one of the closest to the sushi I am used to in Tokyo. Service is ok… a smile wouldn’t hurt…

Sushi in perfection, a little more expensive, but worth it.

Both the sushi and the other dishes are prepared with care and with excellent quality materials. Slightly more expensive than other a la carte sushi but generally worth it.

Parlare di un ristorante giapponese che non sia un dozzinale all you can eat, al giorno d’oggi, è già un successo. Si spende tanto e si mangia poco? Sì, come è normale che sia in un ristorante che serve pesce crudo o carne da 1000€ al kg, come la Wagyu A5, e se il mangiar giusto è inteso come “ingozzarsi”. Sushi e sashimi di livello molto alto. Meglio le portate più creative rispetto a quelle più canoniche perchè si percepisce la mano dello chef nelle prime, mentre nelle seconde manca talvolta un po’ di spinta sulle consistenze. Ottimo il Wagyu, da provare. Unica pecca la rumorosità del locale, non esattamente all’altezza della cucina. Ma è una nota negativa del tutto superabile per un posto che sarà una mia tappa obbligata nelle prossime visite a cagliari.
