My husband and I are from Catania and have lived in this area for about twenty years. After browsing the various restaurants, we decided to dine at this restaurant in the historic center, just steps from Piazza Duomo, opposite a magnificent church. It's in a historic square steeped in Baroque architecture, near Via Crociferi, in the heart of Catania's history. We wanted to sample what our area has to offer in terms of typical Sicilian seafood dishes and to confirm that dining out should absolutely be a delight for the palate and a pleasure for the senses. We enjoyed a seafood dinner: raw appetizers, various carpaccios, fried mixed seafood and peppered mussels, oysters, and sardines a beccafico; Followed by two first courses: seafood risotto and homemade pasta with fresh swordfish, all accompanied by homemade bread and an amazing organic DOC white wine: Carinda Insolia, which pairs perfectly with everything, leaving a unique fruity flavor and a sublime pleasure in the mouth. We are connoisseurs of quality and excellent cooks, so we can judge what we tasted objectively and judiciously. To say that the fish is fresh and conveys the taste and aroma of the sea to the palate, does that really sum it up? Seasoned to perfection, the dishes are well-rounded and balanced in flavor and saltiness. We were so satisfied that we booked the indoor dining room for our next event. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who understands and appreciates quality as we do. We will definitely return.
