Excellent choice of pizza, extremely kind staff even with children

We're from Milan and just passing through, but this restaurant-pizzeria convinced us to return two nights in a row: one for the restaurant and one for the pizza. Quality products, truly excellent dishes and pizza, with excellent value for both the restaurant and the pizzeria. The staff were incredibly friendly and the owner was top-notch. If we return to the area, it will be a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Al Piano Restaurant and Pizzeria – Pedemonte di Berbenno (Sondrio) As a native of Valtellina, I can say it with conviction: here you can eat perhaps the only truly good pizza in the entire Valtellina. Light dough, excellent ingredients, perfectly cooked. It's become a regular stop, practically our second home: we come here several times a week and always bring friends and guests. The kitchen is the domain of Signora Nicla, who prepares authentic, textbook pizzoccheri, among the best in the middle Valtellina: flavorful, balanced, with real, quality ingredients. And then there are the "off-the-menu" dishes, like Sergio's polenta taragna, still made the old-fashioned way: a true delight (reservation is required, as they don't always make it). The restaurant is familiar, welcoming, and lovingly maintained: Nicla and Sergio Gusmerini are wonderful people, as is the entire team—friendly, fast, and always impeccable in their service. You can tell they work with passion. The products are all top-quality: cheeses, cured meats, fresh ingredients... and even the wine list is a surprise. Sergio always chooses unique reds, never boring, that are truly worth trying. A genuine place, where you eat well, feel welcomed, and always want to return. Highly recommended.

We often come to this place when we're in Valtellina. The pizza is excellent, and the food is equally delicious. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, and the value is excellent. Cured meats and cheeses are hard to find elsewhere, and pizzoccheri are filled with the flavors of rarely used cheeses, along with authentic mountain butter. Not to mention Sergio's polenta taragna, which takes you back decades to a time when everything was more real and not virtual: the flavors, the aromas, and the passion for cooking at the slow pace that certain dishes require on a wood-fired stove. And that makes all the difference.
