Supra e Sutta In Cardeto

About 15 km away and about twenty minutes by car from Reggio Calabria, along the road that goes up along the Santagata river, we reach Cardeto, a delightful and characteristic town perched on the peaks of Aspromonte at about 700 meters above sea level, which with the evening lights appears to us like a nativity scene. Mountain aromas and flavors combined with the pleasant breeze that rises from the Fiumara valley. Genuine hospitality and traditions promise. Parking in the square with a few steps we are at the Supra e Sutta restaurant, welcomed by the kind owner and the chef, who put us at ease by welcoming us with kindness and friendliness. We are served with various and abundant appetizers, delicious first and second courses with local products and good wine. The waiters at the tables are willing and available. The interior is welcoming and heated. The cuisine was excellent and we definitely appreciated it and the quality/price ratio was excellent. Welcome and heated premises. Excellent cuisine and excellent value for money.

The service was excellent as was the rustic cuisine, which was very varied. It is difficult to wake up not satisfied with what you have eaten and all at reasonable prices. Interesting location, I recommend dining upstairs.

A really nice place to spend a Sunday lunch or a summer evening to escape from the scorching heat of the city. Truly delicious food, all hot and smiling staff very helpful, the owner is a hoot. I highly recommend it 😊

Trattoria located in the center of the village, warm and welcoming place, friendly staff who are immediately available to the customer. We ate here for family lunch on a Sunday. What can we say, caring towards children, so much so that they were the first to be served. Simple menu, typical of our places but of quality and taste. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was good, with everything you tasted you could taste the homemade flavour. What can I say, we didn't send anything back, in fact we did an encore on some things. A gem are the kebabs supplied directly by the town butcher's shop. I highly recommend it for a quiet and carefree day.

It's always a reconfirmation. Excellent cured meats and cheeses, nothing industrial. Starters, first and second courses cooked according to tradition, without ever using too much seasoning. Congratulations, until next time it's always a pleasure to be with you

Supra e Sutta is an authentic restaurant serving typical Calabrian cuisine located in Cardeto, in the province of Reggio Calabria. We had the pleasure of visiting it on the first day of the year with my family and we were enthusiastic about the numerous specialties offered. The concept of the restaurant is simple but effective: you sit down and enjoy what is served to you. A formula that allowed us to discover genuine and tasty dishes. In particular, I loved the first courses and the meat, with a special mention for the sausage with potatoes, truly exceptional. I highly recommend it to those who want to immerse themselves in the true Calabrian culinary tradition. An experience not to be missed!
