we went for New Year's Eve dinner and a menu had been created specifically for the occasion.
The restaurant has a very intimate and at the same time elegant and refined atmosphere, the staff is very knowledgeable, kind and helpful; they know how to best recommend wines/drinks based on what you eat, they describe the dishes in such a way that they further entice you to eat them.
The food is nothing short of spectacular with combinations of particular flavors that go together perfectly, managing to combine tradition with innovation.
We were particularly impressed by the lentil flan with cotechino crumbs (very good) and restricted broth. a simple dish but executed with such a technique that turns such a simple dish into an experience that satisfies the palate and warms the heart.
Plus the meats cooked to perfection, rice and pasta too.
I highly recommend trying their tiramisu.
The location is super central, from Piazza Sorbello it takes about 3 minutes on foot, while from Piazza Erbe it takes about 5 minutes.

Excellent food. Fair prices compared to the quality of the dishes. The only flaw was that the service was a little slow at the beginning: We had to wait to get the menu. However this was compensated by the kindness and preparation of the staff.

Really good experience here. Food is elevated but not complicated. Extra delicious pumpkin tortelli. We had a local wine - Vittoria - recommended by waiter and described as Bordelaise (half Cab/ merlot) It was absolutely gorgeous. Waiters were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Welcome with a smile, which already makes you understand that you are welcome, the mystery of the dialect name nicely explained with an oxymoron, excellent Mantuan cuisine from appetizers to desserts and the boy who served us not only had restaurant training but also had expertise as a sommelier, in fact he was able to convey and motivate our request for food and wine pairings.
Well done and thank you, we will definitely be back.

I went to Sucar Brusc for a dinner in the historic center of Mantua during a visit to the city.
The restaurant is nice and welcoming, the staff very kind and helpful.
The menu offers a limited number of dishes (which I personally appreciate) + some dishes of the day.
I highly recommend the onion soup with bread crust and cheese and of course the pumpkin tortelli.
The bill is around €50 per person, a more than fair price given the quality of the cuisine.
Absolutely a must-try restaurant.

I must say that the place is quite nice, not bad, excellent location compared to Mantua, the incredible food, mixes originality and attention to tradition, as I like it. The waiter who served us was very kind, competent and informed. In short, the perfect place for an evening out, whether on holiday (as in my case) or not. Truly CONGRATULATIONS.

Sicuramente è un indirizzo da ci siderale quando a Mantova. Personale molto gentile e attento. Si mangia bene forse solo qualche piccola sbavatura della cucina (piatti purtroppo freddi) e scelta al bicchiere non troppo performante. Sicuramente torneremo
