Steinegger In Appiano sulla strada del vino

The panoramic view is undoubtedly magnificent. However, the location is not really ideal for activities in the wider area. The bus only runs three times a day and by car it is always an adventurous journey through the narrow streets of the vineyards. The wellness area is adequate but for the price I would expect a little more. There should be an anti-slip mat on the floor of the sauna. I almost slipped and fell on the sauna heater. My room was cozy and comfortable but unfortunately facing the mountain and therefore without a panorama and a bit dark. The dining room is rustic and cozy, the atmosphere is nice. I found the games area right next to my table a bit negative. It would be better if it were in a corner where children do not disturb the guests during the meal with occasional noise. The food was good even if it didn't always meet my taste. Unfortunately there was no menu selection like that offered in many other hotels in South Tyrol. For my meal time, it would be better if dinner was at 6 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. at the latest, especially since the meal was usually not finished until 9 p.m. due to the breaks between courses. If you go to bed early, you should be able to eat your last meal 2 to 3 hours before going to bed for health reasons. The hosts were always friendly and helpful. But I wouldn't overestimate it, as many people have pointed out here. All in all a nice hotel in a nice area. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right for my taste. I've stayed in better hotels in South Tyrol at cheaper prices. Addition: The room was booked directly with the hotel and not on a platform. However, I found the price a bit high. If a comment is made on my comment, it should not be anonymous, but should have a name underneath.

We had a wonderful holiday at Steinegger. Thanks so much. If there were wishes, we tried to fulfill them. You feel very welcome. If you want to travel with a dog, you are in good hands there. The view from the hotel is magnificent and you can go hiking directly from there. The food is very tasty and lovingly prepared. The family and the team are very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

Our goal for decades. Now for the first time again. Nothing has changed and that is a very good thing.

Ich hatte bei Tripadvisor nach einem Restaurant in der nähe unserer Ferienwohnung geschaut Beim Restaurant Steinegger hatte ich in der Speisekarte etwas mit Hausg. Blutwurst mit Melonen-Carpsccio gelesen was mich Neigierig machte--- Also haben wir einen Tisch Reserviert. Wir hatten einen Super Platz auf der Terrasse mitten in den Weinbergen . WOW Das war schon sein Geld wert. Die Blutwurst war am Sonntag abend dann aber leider Aus --- Schade dafür gab es eine sehr schöne Weinkarte ,da hier auch selber Wein gemacht wird. Wir Bestellten dann Gemüseterrine und Spahgetti mit Krebsen , danach wollte ich gerne die Ersten Steinpilze probieren und zum Hauptgang haben wir uns ein Schnitzel mit Graukäsefüllung bestellt. Es war alles sehr lecker und von bester Qualität. Dazu tranken wir zuerst einen Sauvingnon blanc vom Hause Steinegger und danach einen 2010er Tenuta Valgiano aus dem Collio Lurcchese, ein toller Wein der fast jedes Jahr 3 Gläser im Gambero Rosso bekommt. Der Serviece und die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr höflich und Kompetent ,wir haben uns sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend

Great holiday hotel for families! The Steinegger is located on the slopes of Appiano and offers spectacular views of Bolzano. In addition to the very good food, the hotel particularly scores points with its large outdoor pool and indoor pool, a forest playground, tennis court and football pitch. The children get their money's worth here. What makes the Steinegger unique, however, is the family atmosphere. The owner family lives here together with their guests and does so in the best possible way. In addition to great excursion tips, a weekly guided hike is also offered. It is not for nothing that the hotel is visited by many regular guests who have been coming back here for years. We will definitely come back. Unreserved recommendation!

We stayed a week at this splendid place, everything was perfect from the room with a wonderful view of the vineyards to the breakfast with their excellent local products starting with the local products ending with their excellent apple juice... dinner, served outdoors under an imposing porch with excellent quality food prepared by the chef or the owner... the swimming pool overlooking the entire valley was a real icing on the cake... the owners and the rest of the staff are kind and friendly... we will definitely be back...
