Long wait for the ordered food. Very crowded and noisy. We ordered two double pizzas (for two people). They were OK. The bill was reasonable. There could have been better choices :(

I've visited this restaurant a couple of times in the past, but I've never had the pleasure of leaving a review. It's among the most famous restaurants in Ortigia, located in a prime spot near the Fonte Aretusa, overlooking the sea. It's best known for its ancient washhouse (with a glass floor in some areas) beneath the restaurant. High-quality seafood, reasonable prices, and extremely friendly staff. If you're in Ortigia, this is a destination you shouldn't miss.

It's a 'slow' type of restaurant. Meant to relax and spend time taking it in. They don't pressure. Enjoy the view and atmosphere. Very good food. Dog friendly.

24/06/2025: The people who serve at the cash register are all really very good and dedicated to the service. The girls at the bar counter are always polite. They care and spend themselves to give an excellent service to the customers. You can find excellent products and advice for the tobacconist. I don't know their names but a very kind and not tall girl has skills that are difficult to replicate in the service. Congratulations because you can see that they are all really good. The added value of the business is them in all respects.

29/05/2025: Ottimo ristorante, appena fuori Ortigia. Personale simpatico, gentile e disponibile. Siamo andati un paio di volte per assaggiare tutti gli antipasti, squisiti: segnalo in particolare la caponata, il macco di fave, la stracciatella di burrata e le indimenticabili polpette fritte di baccalà e gamberi con la rapa rossa. Abbiamo assaggiato anche alcuni primi.(busiate alla trapanese, pasta alla palermitana col finocchietto), buonissimi. Indimenticabile la millefoglie di ricotta e la pera caramellata . Prezzo in linea con la grande qualità della materia prima.
19/04/2025: Das stylische und Schöne Restaurant verfügt über eine große und gute Auswahl an Speisen. Von Lamm bis Kaninchen kann man eine tolle Auswahl treffen. Durch die regionalen Produkte und sympathische Köche kann man hier hervorragend speisen. Man muss reservieren und es lohnt sich.
