Spirito DiVino In Roma

Family gathering of 11, organized by our Italian cousin. This beautiful restaurant, inside and out, was walkable from our accommodations in Trastevere. We had reservations, so we were greeted and seated quickly. We ordered from the menu. Food was delicious! I started with the tomato & buffalino, served in a stemmed glass. My Rigatoni in a Lamb Ragu was so good! Many other dishes enjoyed by the rest of the family. According to the manager, they are part of the "slow food" network in that they buy everything locally so it's all organic and dishes are made upon order. The finishing touch was the opportunity to see the wine cellars below within this historic building! A memorable evening of food and family!!

Stopped in here on a whim, because our original pick Roma Sparita was reservation only and they did not let anyone else in. So we found this place, little non-descript door with a beautiful vine surrounding it and a small sign with the name. Walked in and they had a few opens tables for 2. The Owner/Chef was in the dining room personally. He informed us that all the food coming out of the kitchen was cooked by his mother!! How cool. We saw they had cacio e Pepe and had to try it. Wine cellar is thousands of years old and holds 2000+ bottles of wine. So we had 2 orders of the pasta, a cheese plate for an appetizer, and finished off with the Coffee Tiramisu. The pasta was so fresh and delicious. The cheese plate was a generous portion and the Tiramisu was to die for. There was nothing bad we tried. 74 euro for 2 people and you can’t be mad at that!! Definitely must try if you are in the area!!
