At over 1800m altitude in South Tyrol, I can hardly imagine taking a break from skiing and thinking about a freshly tapped beer and a trio of dumplings. Thanks for the wonderful time.

10/11/2025: On the way back from hiking in the San Vigilio area, a lunch break is a must at Gasthof Jocher, a historic refuge dating back to 1735, lovingly renovated while preserving its original charm. In the wooden Stube or on the sun-drenched terrace, you can savor traditional South Tyrolean flavors such as Schnitzel with chips and berry sauce, steaming dumplings, and beef Mostbraten with Spätzle and vegetables, washed down with a local craft beer. A coffee to finish off the meal will make you realize you've eaten well and feel great.
