Soul Food In Corato

I wasn't entirely satisfied with the quality of the menu and the freshness of the dishes, which left me a bit disappointed compared to expectations. The service, however, was impeccable: the staff were very knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. The space is small, but still welcoming and pleasant. Overall, a decent experience, but with room for improvement in the culinary offerings.

The place is very small, almost like a living room, but that's not a bad thing; the atmosphere is very homey. The meatballs we ate were very good and authentic. The staff were very kind and helpful.

A simple, intimate, and unique place. We're in Corato, and here you can try various types of meatballs, all handmade and freshly made. A plate costs 8 euros, including five meatballs, or you can opt for the tasting menu for 20 euros. The ingredients are of high quality. The place doesn't offer much seating because it's very small. The portion sizes are perhaps its weakest point. The staff are very helpful and meticulous in their presentation of the dishes.

If I could give this restaurant 20 stars each for food, service and atmosphere, I would. We were visiting during a local event and even though they didn’t have the space to accommodate us right away, we had just a short wait and they even stayed open to serve us. The food is off the charts incredible. Seriously. The BEST Italian food I’ve EVER had. The Polpetteria were unlike anything I’ve had before and I loved all the different varieties. The owner made sure that our party had PLENTY of food, kept bringing different things to try and it was all fantastic! I’m a fairly picky eater and I ate everything. The eggplant Parmesan was my favorite. I have had a lot of trouble finding it fresh where I live and this was like heaven. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this hidden gem discreetly tucked away in the heart of Corato. It’ll be the first restaurant (and I’ll definitely be back multiple times on my next trip) I visit on my return. Thank you for an incredible experience and for your hospitality La Polpetteria! Also I put down moderate noise because we were a little loud and had a lot of fun. It’s possibly a lot quieter when you don’t have a big group of hungry filmmakers in there :)

We ate lunch at this incredible Puglian restaurant just yesterday…and are still reflecting on our wonderful experience. Friendly, attentive service is just the start. It’s the LOVE in the food that has us wanting to go out of our way to come back. It is a small local establishment with maybe ten tables inside - but more outside to accommodate their loyal customers. The owner even poured us some of his family’s olive oil, with local bread…in a word AMAZING 🤩 We hope to return - Grazie Mille 🙏

For those who want to experience a journey of flavors and traditions, I recommend trying their meatball tasting. Everything is made fresh, and the wait is worth it. The place is small but cozy, and the staff is friendly and helpful, ready to offer advice.
