Smoky Joe In Aversa

We had dinner with a group of colleagues at Smokey Joe's; there were 14 of us. Being a Wednesday, we were able to get more attention from the staff, who served us superbly. We were there for the meat, and I must say, as a BBQ lover and adept, I wasn't disappointed; quite the opposite. We had appetizers that served their purpose—keeping us hungry—then two giant platters of all the smoked and slow-cooked specialties: pork ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef, brisket, pork belly, plus sides of coleslaw, beans, and corn roasted in a classic American style. Chef Giuseppe knows his way around meat and knows what he's doing. The cooking was perfect, and his BBQ sauces, especially the orange and spicy ones, were superb. Even though we were packed, he gave us a free sample of smoked Prague ham, which, surprisingly, we finished without a problem due to its deliciousness. Ultimately, eating here was a delightful discovery: if you're a social media fan or prefer boiled meat smothered in BBQ sauce, you might want to go elsewhere. If you understand slow-cooked meat, you have to come here.

Excellent quality meat. Fairly high prices (average ~€15 per sandwich with fries included). Fairly varied menu with many sandwiches. Per person, about ~€20 including a drink, cover charge (€2.50), sandwich, and fries. We'll definitely be back.

We discovered this pub by chance on maps, we wanted to change location and we found ourselves in Aversa, we were very happy with both the food and the staff as well as the atmosphere, everything was really good and we will definitely come back next time

Quality food, environment to review, prices to review you can't take 13 euros a hamburger without even a side dish nearby, then as for the side dishes I took the courgettes and the aubergines for a total of 6 euros, miserable quantity there were 5/6 slices of both courgettes and aubergines, quantity to review in my opinion. The sandwich was good, fairly fair price, I would always lower a bit. Quantity and prices to review, the quality of the meat is there, if you want to eat meat I recommend.

Ottimo pub al centro di Aversa, molto carino all'interno e con un ampio giardino esterno per i periodi estivi. Il menu è ampio, con ottimi antipasti e sfizi, ottime salse ma soprattutto ottimi panini con ottima carne. Ci sono stato già alcune volte ed ho provato più cose e devo dire che sono rimasto soddisfatto. Ottimo lo smash burger e mi ha stupito molto anche il pulled beef. Non ho potuto assaggiare il brisket poiché non era disponibile ma lo farò la prossima volta. Scelta di birre artigianali non molto vasta ma comunque molto buone. Lo staff è disponibile e i prezzi nella media. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

Great pub in the center of Aversa, very nice inside and with a large outdoor garden for the summer months. The menu is extensive, with excellent appetizers and snacks, excellent sauces but above all excellent sandwiches with excellent meat. I have already been there a few times and tried several things and I must say that I was satisfied. The smash burger was excellent and I was also very surprised by the pulled beef. I could not try the brisket because it was not available but I will do it next time. The choice of craft beers is not very large but still very good. The staff is helpful and the prices are average. I will definitely return.
