A welcoming place, divine food, staff made up of friendly and attentive guys. Boccalice is the image of the owner, Daniele, a splendid person who has been doing this job since time immemorial and above all with great love! If you pass through Pontecagnano, don't miss an evening in this place!

I have been to this pub many times and have had very different experiences. The owner and the staff are always kind and this is a great strong point but the atmosphere in the pub is often unpleasant due to the narrow spaces and above all because the place fills with smoke making the stay unbearable. The cuisine manages to be really good but it's not always like this, it's inconsistent. Eating more or less well is a bit of luck. It can certainly be improved because BOCCALICE is a beautiful reality, a pub that has been open for a long time and manages to absorb people of all ages. Force!

Everything is really top! They are all very kind and efficient and the food is of quality and the price ratio is correct and never excessive! I recommend you try a bit of everything because starting from the chips it's all delicious!!!

15/08/2024: I have known Pasqualina..for many years....and her affection and friendliness can be found in this place.... On August 15th we spent some time delighted by excellent food....everything was up to par....the dishes were well taken care of and above all the very fresh fish!!! Highly recommended!!!!
14/08/2024: I eat a lot of fish around and I can say that the quality is noticeable. Ordered very tasty sword and aubergine strascinati, homemade pasta and overall proportionate sauce: the sword was there and it was well tied. A 1 kg sea bream baked in the oven and I would even say rightly so because it would not have cooked evenly on the grill given its size. In addition to this, very balanced and delicious skullcap fritters (as it is called here) were offered. We came out almost bursting with takeaways. I give a lower rating to the service precisely because when ordering our waiter did not pay attention to the total quantity of food, which was excessive especially in the cut of the sea bream which was not shown before cooking it. (I could also go and see it myself because it was exposed, but I didn't think about it). Account aligned with northern Italy and quality products. (The photo shows half of the sea bream, the other half is on the plate in front)
