Great location. Metro just across road. Tidy breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are spotless

I stayed there on December 25th. The sink was clogged and wouldn't drain, so I called for help, but they started repairing it right there. And to make matters worse, they used my towels without asking. When I asked to change rooms, they reluctantly did, but the new room had no view, and there was hair in two places in the shower room, making me doubt they were cleaning properly. The reason I didn't give it a 1-star rating is because the bartender was very kind and readily lent me a fork and knife when I bought pizza outside, which I really appreciated. I added that as a positive point, and ultimately gave it 3 stars.

The hotel is clean and modern and located just across the street from a metro stop. Check in and check out were both friendly and efficient. The room was modern and spotlessly clean. The taps on the bathroom were, shall we say, cryptic, but they can be figured out with time and experience. The bed was firm (my preferred type) and spacious. I found it very comfortable. I liked having the small balcony with an opening door which looked down toward the docks... which was necessary because the air conditioning did nothing. I lowered the temperature. I raised the fan speed. It was still hot and uncomfortable, and the temperature didn't shift by a degree. Thankfully I was able to open the balcony door for a while to let the cold air coming off the bay in to get the temperature down to a comfortable level for sleeping. The food selection and quality at the breakfast buffet were both good, and the view from the terrace over the castle was outstanding. If you're staying there, doing a breakfast there is highly recommended. If you're looking to dine then just around the corner is the La Lazzara Trattoria e Pizzeria which serves up excellent food and is no more than a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel. There are a few other decent eateries nearby (though I would avoid the ones facing the bay, which tend to be tourist traps). I paid a supplement to have a late checkout (up to 1800), which was worthwhile. It gave me more time in Napoli (I checked out around 1530) and still got back to Roma in time to check in that evening without needing to worry about leaving my bags. Would I go there again? I would have some reluctance in summer because of the air conditioning issue, but frankly I would not want to be anywhere south of Firenze in the summer anyway. (I was at the hotel in March.) In any other case... given the location, service and quality of the rooms this would at present be my first choice in Napoli.

The shower water pressure was extremely weak. The room lacked basic amenities like a vanity kit, body lotion, and hair conditioner. The hotel felt dated and looked nothing like the photos.

Truly a fantastic experience! The hotel is in a strategic location, perfect for easily getting around and visiting the area. The staff is extremely kind, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast is super generous and full of choices, a truly excellent way to start the day. Special thanks to Francesco at the front desk, who was extremely helpful, professional, and attentive to guests' needs. We felt welcomed and pampered. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
