Showtaste In Napoli

I spent 5 nights here for the Niantic Ingress Naples +Alpha Anomaly event in March 2025. The staff gave a 7th floor room with a hood balcony view of the castle and part of the Mediterranean where I could see the Isle of Capri in the mist. I was happy with my room, apart from multiple mosquito bites drring the night. Thankfully the hotel staff kindly lent me their personal electric plug-in mosquito repeller which fixed my problem, so thank you staff onsite for the loan of your device, much appreciated.

The staff was very kind. they let me stay in the room until late without paying. the room is clean and spacious. the hotel area is good. you get free water and juice. Mary is a very good and very kind person. Thank you!

Room ready as soon as I arrived early in the morning, very comfortable bed, friendly service and a picture-perfect breakfast.

Mercure Napoli Centro Angioino is a great hotel, perfectly located to access the main tourist areas of Naples. Its facilities are modern and well maintained. The hotel team is very professional and friendly. It is a totally recommended hotel to get to know Naples.

The location of the hotel is great, and the breakfast terrace is outstanding! Unfortunately, the quality of the breakfast was rather mediocre, you can tell. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating, which made me very happy! My room was sufficient, just very small, but I didn't really expect more. There was only shower gel and soap as care products, no body lotion, no sewing kit, no other items, and I was particularly disappointed that there was no bottle of water in the room. Instead of decent cups there were only plastic cups and Nespresso powder instead of a coffee machine. At least there was a kettle. Unfortunately, despite a recent renovation, one corner of the room was completely moldy. It smelled musty and horrible in the entire room, at first I thought it was coming from outside (looking into a narrow back alley in rainy weather in autumn, something like that could be the case), but when I looked closer at the source of the smell, I discovered that the wallpaper had already come loose in one corner and there was a really thick, old, black mold on the wall. For me, something like that is not possible in a 4 star hotel, an absolute no-go. In general, the hotel seems more like one of a different category - not like 4 stars. All in all, it's ok, but I wouldn't come back or recommend it to others.
