Excellent Japanese/Asian restaurant, perhaps the best in Turin. Delicate and creative dishes with high quality. Prices are rightly a little high, but the delicacies are...expensive. The only flaw (negligible) is the place...a little spartan and quite noisy...but why is it always full?

The atmosphere was noisy and, unfortunately, a bit stinky... Otherwise, the food and staff were all really good! I'm just sorry I can't give it 5 stars; the atmosphere was a bit noisy and, in my experience, the smell of fried food in the dining room affected my rating... Evaluating the bill, I found it slightly above average, but the variety of dishes and the excellent preparation justify it; the chaotic atmosphere doesn't.

Shizen is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city: elegant, welcoming, and with cuisine that captivates from the first bite. Each dish is meticulously crafted, prepared with the freshest ingredients, and beautifully presented. Their specialty is their appetizers: excellent! The hot dishes are also worth trying: light tempura, delicious gyoza, and unique rolls. The staff is friendly, discreet, and always smiling, and the relaxed atmosphere makes the experience even more enjoyable.

As always, it's one of the best sushi places in the area. The carpaccio is excellent!

Excellent sushi restaurant at the foot of the hill. The atmosphere is minimal but well-kept and clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

I've been waiting a long time to try this restaurant. The food is excellent, I already knew that (I worked for a well-known Turin family who often used the takeout service). When we entered, we were greeted with the usual, appreciated courtesy. The dining rooms and outdoor seating are very beautiful, but I noticed several "anomalies" (this is, of course, my personal opinion): . The staff doesn't wear uniforms, other than a T-shirt with the restaurant's name. In fact, I counted at least seven pairs of shoes of different types and/or colors. . The restrooms are absolutely not up to par with the restaurant. . There were two of us, and the dishes we chose weren't served together (the wait was long). . A few other minor details (I noticed them due to professional deformation). Contrary to what it may seem, I had a great time; it would take very little to transform this place into an excellent place. . Sincerely, Luca Giuseppe Panuele

An oriental restaurant with fairly good food, but the prices are a bit high in my opinion. The service is friendly, but the spacing between tables could definitely be increased; there's no privacy whatsoever.

My absolute favorite Japanese restaurant. Not only does it offer delicious sushi, but the cuisine is also delicious and sophisticated.

Kensho

19/10/2025: When you want to combine excellent service with astonishing quality, you can't miss Kensho. The level of service and customer care is top-notch, and the price is reasonable (from €50 to €70 per person, excluding wine).
11/10/2025: For me, the most disappointing aspect, besides the tasteless sushi, was the service. Although the staff was friendly, the service was cloying and intrusive, and the marketing hype was very annoying, especially since the waiters said things that, to someone like me who's lived in Japan, sound like a joke. I also didn't appreciate the spectacle of the sushi being prepared in front of us on a tray with a cup of water in which the chef wiped his hands, dripping in front of us. As I said, the sushi tasted like nothing; the ramen and cooked dishes were better, but they were still too expensive. In short, the marketing hype was overwhelming.
