Shiro In Bolzano

I've been to Bolzano many times. I've tried some good restaurants, but: what friendly, professional, and warm service. The food: it was recommended to us by the owner. And we were more than pleasantly surprised. So good and of such high quality. From now on, a must-try.

There are rare gems, little places you usually discover only through true friends, where the cuisine is no longer just food but becomes a story. This happened to me when I crossed the threshold of this small Japanese restaurant, where hospitality isn't measured by words but by gestures: a handwritten menu in a notebook dotted with aphorisms and light, whispered thoughts. The fish is so fresh that it requires no special effects, the dishes are revisited in a personal but not complacent way, and the chef's touch is evident in the respect for the raw ingredients, presented without the desire to impress at all costs. The understated harmony of the setting enjoys an intimacy that makes Shiro not a place for those seeking yet another fusion experience, but for those who wish to listen—rather than watch—to what the sea has to say.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant for the first time; we were greeted by a very kind and helpful gentleman. I loved his genuineness and the passion he showed in explaining the various options; you could tell he puts his heart into it! All the dishes, from the starter to the dessert, were plated with great care and made with quality ingredients. A wonderful dinner! Highly recommended!
