Shanghai Oriente In Casagiove

This place was one of the first Chinese restaurants in the Caserta area, my parents went there when they were engaged and we still frequent it today even though the number of people who go there has decreased. The quality of their dishes is impressive, the use of fresh coriander and always fresh and carefully prepared ingredients leaves me very happy every time. The authenticity of their Chinese cuisine is impeccable and the flavors are always right. If you are looking for a sushi restaurant, perhaps it is not the best choice but they are good at that too, but their jewel is Chinese cuisine. One of the best if not the best also for its history, in the province of Caserta.

Eating well in a welcoming place is all there is to enjoying well-cooked, quality dishes.

We had dinner for the first time at this restaurant on 10/27/2024. The owner speaks Italian very well and is very kind. The spring rolls and steamed ravioli are good. My 7 year old daughter enjoyed the spring rolls and fry bread. I tried the Shanghai soup, with rice noodles, very good. As a second course I chose the sweet and sour chicken with peppers, very tender and rich in flavour. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

I have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years and the food has always been good but in the last 1 year things have changed a lot, I think they have changed the chef, the flavors of the dishes have completely changed, there is more choice on the menu the prices have risen a bit but the taste of the food is no longer what it used to be!!!! What a disappointment 😔
