Stopped by this coffee place on a hot day and ordered an americano Freddo—it was a bit over-diluted, but with the heat, it still worked. We sat outside, which was a nice way to take a break. Not perfect, but it did the job.

Finally, a good sized cappuccino. Reasonably priced and very smooth coffee. Best we've had so far in Spain, France and Italy!

Found this little gem not far from where we were staying. Had the granola bowl (yum!) and a great flat white. Food is all fresh and I believe you can take away if needed. Staff were fantastic and very friendly and the vibe great! Recommended!

We arrived in Florence very early by train, and it was pouring rain. We decided to find a nearby place to have breakfast and wait for the rain to ease up before continuing.
It's located right behind the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. In fact, the terrace (when it's available) overlooks one of the walls of a very pretty apse.
There's a wide variety, both savory and sweet paninis for breakfast, and the coffee is decent.
The service was just okay, and the bathroom was quite dirty (also considering it was before 9 a.m.).
The price was perhaps a bit high for what we ate, but we also have to consider that Florence was generally more expensive than Rome.

You can find a vegan American or classic Italian breakfast. The only downside I would say if you go vegan is they don’t have latte di soia which in my opinion is the best frothing milk. They have almond and oak. They are quick to clean tables which is convenient as well. I got a vegan Italian breakfast with a cappuccino and cornetto vegano. It was probably the worst cappuccino I’ve had in Italy so far tasting like bitter water and not like espresso at all so I took off a star.

In piazza Santa Maria Novella,dove tutti gli altri bar/ristoranti/cafe/ecc....hanno prezzi ESORBITANTI (ci può stare per il centro storico di Firenze,ma non tutti magari possono permetterselo) locale giovane e dinamico con proposte dolci e salate gustose e a prezzi giusti!!!ragazzi simpatici e disponibili. Consiglio vivamente
