I've been to the Sesselschwaige a few times this year, which was newly managed this year. Why a few times?
Because the staff is very friendly and attentive to their guests. The food was excellent, I can only recommend it. The cakes are also very delicious.
The prices are a bit higher compared to other huts, but considering that the food is regularly airlifted up, I think the prices are really justified. 👍🏻

I can't explain Maria K's review; for me, Sesselschweige is the king of dumplings. Highly recommended, especially with salad from the well-kept garden right next to the hut at 1,940 meters above sea level. Super friendly and with love.

A must-see stop on the way to the Bolzano refuge.
Excellent cuisine and service.
Trail 1 leading to the mountain hut runs through a gorge between rocks and is lined with picturesque wooden bridges.
From the mountain hut, several trails lead to the top of the Sciliar.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
The effort was greatly rewarded!

A little paradise, we were able to sleep there, have dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff. We all had fun. A real pleasure. Thank you!

Getting to Malga Sessel was tiring, but once we arrived, it was totally worth it. The atmosphere was festive and the staff super friendly. We ate deliciously, with a special mention for the goulash, which is a must-try. The prices are high, but considering how hard the staff work to run the refuge, it's understandable.
We can't wait to return next year! Well done!

We had an absolutely amazing time over here. I have never left a google review but for this hut I am more than willing to do so.
The host was really hosting. They made sure we were never thirsty, made us feel at home, and put a smile on our face all evening. Even offered us a very refreshing shower after a tough climb up.
Very polite and talkative people that know how to run a refuge like this. Special thanks to Kevin and the lady with the best bolognese in the Dolomites.

Kevin has to be the best cabin-host I've ever met, super friendly and helpful. The cabin it self is super sustainable dotting every point. And nothing will ever beat the cabins view, best part of our trip through the mountains!!
