An extremely interesting museum, both culturally and architecturally, with beautiful and varied exhibitions that have been presented over the years. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the bookshop, which has gone from being a place full of art books and more to something more like a stationery shop selling all sorts of gadgets. It's clear that times have changed...

An architecturally fascinating structure. It houses permanent exhibitions, including a Futurist section, which I recommend combining with a visit to the nearby Casa futurista Depero. Various painting and photography exhibitions are regularly held.

Well-maintained museum with excellent, constantly changing exhibitions. Always interesting to visit. A large multi-story car park is available, making it very convenient for both visiting the museum and exploring the city.

I had a wonderful experience at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rovereto, in the province of Trento. Established and inaugurated in 1987, it has been located in its current location on Corso Bettini since 2013, slightly off the street. Its striking structure features a dome open in segments, one of which is deliberately missing, demonstrating remarkable architectural ingenuity in its structural balance. The interior is a succession of open, bright spaces, with clean, essential lines, where glass, white walls, and steel define the overall look.
On the top floor, the permanent exhibition, in my opinion, is the real highlight, with works by Carrà, Balla, Sironi, Depero, Campiglia, Morandi, De Chirico, and many others, as well as a gigantic Schifano with his "Amare Chimeras." Other sections host high-quality temporary exhibitions.
With the combined ticket, valid for two months from the date of issue, you can visit the Mart, the nearby Casa d'arte futurista Depero, and the Galleria Civica in Trento.
The bookshop is good but rather expensive. There's a café inside and an elevator for people with reduced mobility.
A highly recommended experience.

The MART is one of those places that makes you wonder whether contemporary art is a stroke of genius or a gigantic mockery. Monumental architecture, perfect lighting, spaces that make you feel small and ignorant just right: that alone is worth the ticket. Inside, you wander among works that range from the sublime to the "I could have done that too but I didn't think of it."
That's precisely the beauty of it: it challenges you, forces you to stop and ask yourself whether you're truly looking at a masterpiece or an exercise in ego. And meanwhile, you realize you're reflecting, discussing, observing for longer than you intended. Mission accomplished.
I think this can be considered one of the main purposes of a museum: to make you leave with more questions than answers.
